I don't think this fellow deserves to have his opinions get the attention that they have.
He also slammed the growing environmentally-conscious fad sweeping Britain, insisting green campaigners were "hippies with no place in the world". "How do you suggest we get millions of Chinese not to have a fridge? Or get millions of Americans to stop using their big, stupid cars?".Good thing no one in Britain drives a Rolls Royce, rides in a limo, or owns a Land Rover, eh? ;') At least he dissed the greenie jackoffs, and Reg Dwight.
Must've run into one too many champagne super-novas to throw down crap like that.
Thank goodness I live in a free market, non-socialist country where you don't have to "queue up" to buy milk.
I've been out of the loop for a while. When did Oasis get back together? I remember them breaking up in 1996, over a silly dispute between the two brothers in the band. At the time, I compared Oasis with Lynyrd Skynyrd, which was wiped out in a 1978 plane crash, but still manages to do a concert tour every year.
LOL! Well, depending on which grocery market I'm shopping at, there can be a line. Where do you shop? I wouldn't mind finding a grocery market that had no waiting for checkout. ;)
It's like saying one cannot complain about bad service in a posh restaurant. After all, one had to make the reservation, go to the place, enter it, order from the menu, eat, etc. To gripe about the attitude and competence of the waiter would just be wrong.
This DUMAS has no clue about the servicemen. Apparently, you share his lack of understanding.
NOTE: I do not mean to insult you, and will readily apologize if I have. I just do not think you know or understand what motivates soldiers in today's volunteer armies.
"Can we not agree that Oasis is the best band of all time? Can we not agree on this?" - W. Ferrell
I think the brother quoted here (although I'm not in the loop anyway) is the lead guitarist for the band, the one shown holding an award somewhere in this thread, and therefore, the one who basically runs the band. I've seen them play on Letterman, and maybe SNL as a rerun, and on some kind of "Behind the Music" type program. And that's it. (':
Damon's girlfriend's band also put out some seriously great music:

Yeah, I'm sure Noel Gallagher, lead singer of Oasis, is also an expert on veterans' affairs for the British Army.
You're so right to take his word for it.
