If you care ANYTHING about this country, you MUST invest 13 minutes in watching this video.

BTTT
Can ya forward that to GWB?
Nothing inadvertent about it.
Quite intentional, in fact.
You can thank Senator Simpson, that great conservative.
Its like sitting by the tracks knowing the south and north bounds trains are on the same track and closing at about 120mh, and not being able to do a damn thing about it.
Exactly! Very well said Skeeter.
Has Roy Beck ever heard of the Great Depression? Both of my parents were children of the depression and they would tell you that the period between 1930-41 was not a "golden" era, and with one parent saying the recession of 38 was worse than the intital depression.
The thing that saved America's economy was WWII and afterwards to 1955 since the US was the only industrialized country to not suffer the ravages of war, and the US had a monoploly on industrial production as the other countries recovered from the ravages of World War II.
Would you like to know what really happened to the Simpson bill? Simpson tried and he was fighting the very same people causing this mess now. This article won the 1998 Eugene Katz Award for Excellence in the Coverage of Immigration

snips....
Special-interest clout The clout displayed last year when the immigration lobby defeated Simpson's plan is a textbook demonstration of how special interests have long dominated immigration policy in Washington.
Simpson wasn't asking for anything remotely like a national ID card or national database of workers. He merely wanted the Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 to authorize pilot projects to test methods for verifying employment eligibility.
One pilot would have required participating employers to check their new employees' Social Security numbers. Because it would apply to all of their new workers, discrimination against "foreign-looking" job applicants would have been minimized.
But the anti-verification coalition painted the proposal as a sinister plot. It portrayed it as a retina-scan ID card, police-state power, the second coming of the Holocaust and even the fulfillment of a dark prophecy in the Bible's Book of Revelation that people would be stamped with the "mark of the beast."
At one meeting of the Judiciary Committee, an irritated and clearly frustrated Simpson indignantly waved a make-believe tattoo that looked like a grocery store bar code. He called it a ploy to kill his verification proposal. He was right.
Grover Norquist, a social conservative and anti-tax Republican lobbyist, reveled unapologetically in the tactics he used to undermine the verification initiative and to mock Simpson personally.
The peel-off bar-code tattoos were supposed to remind people of the way Nazis tattooed Jews during World War II.
"It was great," recalled Norquist, who is close to House Speaker Newt Gingrich. "We had our guys walking around with tattoos on their arms. It drove Simpson nuts because the implication was he's a Nazi." The truth, however, is that both the House and the Senate bills specifically barred the implementation of any kind of national ID card. Politicians view such a card as a political kiss of death; nobody expects Congress to seriously consider one.
Toward the end of the debate, Simpson decried the pranks and slurs. "We have dealt with tattoos and Adolf Hitler," he said. "It is the most offensive thing that I have ever heard. It's disgusting and I'm sick of it."
'Mark of the beast'
Although voters tend to see Republicans as tougher than Democrats on illegal immigration, the weakening of the verification provisions was largely the handiwork of conservative Republicans and their behind-the-scenes strategists like Norquist.
Beck says that the problems of Third World population can only be solved in the Third World. Mandatory sterilization??? Mandatory abortion???? Getting everyone to accommodate to the murderous intentions of Planned Barrenhood and ZPG?
Beck ignores that abortion has blown a fifty million person hole in the natural growth of our population (not counting the descendants of the aborted dead. Population growth leads to prosperity. Population decline abolishes jobs.
Environmentalism???? Naturally, Roy Beck offers no hope to the industrial production workers already displaced by the brie munching, Chablis guzzling elites who worry oh so verrrrry much about snail darters over loggers and oh so verrry little about the fate of native-born Americans displaced by the greed of Roy Beck's allies and financiers for 10cent an hour Bangladeshi labor by 8-year-olds in place of skilled labor of Ohio heads of households.
Privatize ALL elementary and secondary education and there will be no expenses of gummint skewels to embarass their incompetent bureacracies.
Think over what Roy Beck says and think over what he does NOT say. What are his organizational affiliations???
When you google Beck you find ZPG and Dr. Tantum (sp??)--and the radical enviros.
But while Beck, ZPG, and the Enviros are suspects, it's clear that the US should not be an oly-oly-oxen-free zone for immigration. Some rationalization is called for; perhaps a moratorium for a few years, along with enforcement of the Southern border.
May as well start 'legitimizing' all the existing illegals while we're at it.
Thank you very much. I was not familiar with those details although I knew well people working for him at the time.
Ah, the old guilt by association thing, eh? Are you sure you want to go there, we could start with the White House and Abramoff.
Now, you didn't talk about one thing that Beck said in the video. NOT ONE. Where is he so wrong...he's using this current government's figures.
Personally, I know nothing about Beck, nor do I care to. His affiliations with other organizations do not change the facts he presented, nor the fact that those pushing the bipartisan OBL agenda themselves have differing, but dispicable ulterior motives (remember Bush & Teddy are on the same page!). But most importantly, knowing the motives of Beck does not negate the fact that the bipartisan OBL agenda threatens to destroy the very security and sovereignty of the country in our own backyards and that's all that matters. The OBL needs a 'swiftboating' in O'Neil fashion, who, as a democrat, came to the aid of his country a second time and honorably defeated one of his own.
"May as well start 'legitimizing' all the existing illegals while we're at it."
No. "We are a nation of laws.", or so says GWB. All that is needed is for them to be enforced and the illegals will deport themselves.
Sure, the banksters created "Great Depression" WAS a tough time for most Americans.
But if those who lived through it thought THAT was tough, they should drop in in 30 years or so when the unassimilated masses flocking here now have Balkanized what was once a fairly homogeneous population having a common language with which to resolve their inevitable differences.
Take Scorcese's "Gangs of New York" and up it by a factor or 20 or more for some idea of how nasty things will be between the Irish and Italians of the 1900s but 15 or 20 unassimilated ethnic/racial groups in 2025.
I honest-to-God believe what's happening in America today is a conscious plan by the utopian elite social engineers to hurl us all together in some idiotic belief that doing so will cause the population to stop fighting and killing one another. Oh yes, it will also ever so incidentally, elevate THEM to become the princes and rulers over that new mongrelized population of soon-to-be slaves.
They are DEAD wrong.
What it WILL do is bring the sort of ethnic and racial warfare now prevalent in the present Third and less-developed world HERE in ways we can only imagine.
If you're over 50, consider cremation so our kids and grandkids can't dig us up to spit in our faces!
You lost me there, did it ever occur to you, that the people(thugs as portrayed in Scorcese's film) ancestors made America as it is today.
