If you lived in Michigan and watched your home decrease in value in almost monthly real-time (ex. Zillow) you might have a slightly different take.
(But of course local dems re-elected for more masochistic pain).
Sometimes certain liberal policies take decades to weaken the nation.
I'd move, but we didn't lose any incumbent seats unlike those 'other,' conservative safe houses like Florida, Ohio...LOL!
