SAN FRANCISCO -- A Pakistani national who falsely told U.S. immigration authorities that he was a Nobel Prize nominee has been deported from the Bay Area, federal immigration officials said today.
Shehrezad Faruk Czar, 38, pleaded guilty in September to providing false information on his visa application, according to court records. As part of his plea, he agreed to be deported to Pakistan and waived his right to a hearing before an immigration judge, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
Czar arrived in Pakistan on a commercial flight Saturday, immigration officials said.
Czar, who had been in the United States for five years, admitted that he had lied when he said on his visa application that he had received a degree from Dow Medical College in 1987. He was originally indicted for claiming he had received a number of degrees from the University of Berkley, on online correspondence school that is sometimes confused with UC Berkeley.

Funny, that one has always worked for me whenever I wanted to get a visa to enter Pakistan... Maybe he should have claimed that he was Mary, Queen of Scots instead...

How can this be true? You can basically nominate yourself for a Nobel prize, if he was going to say this he should have nominated himself first.
