If it wasn't a vote for "amnesty" why did anyone vote for the Democrats?
Thank you!
The answer is...NO. In fact, those 20 million will eventually be able to sponsor family members to come to the US, and we'll STILL continue to have illegals crossing our Borders. The pregnant ones will be a bonus in smuggling fees to the coyotes.
There will be no end to the cycle..

I'm afraid RINOs are getting too comfortable in power and it is going to push us back to permanent minority status. Their limo is too small for a majority party and it always has been. This breaks my heart.
11.5% of all Republican seats in Congress were lost as Democrats took back control of Congress
But only 6.7% of the Members of Tancredo's Immigration Reform Caucus lost their seats.
Loss of Election by Republicans Based on Their
Immigration-Reduction Grade of This Congress
9.6% with an A grade lost
25.0% with an F grade lost
9.2% with a B grade lost
6.4% with a C grade lost
9.5% with a D grade lost
Oh I forgot that fact gets in theri way, so that's why they exclude it.
The first and foremost principle needs to be this: Treat those who seek to obey the laws better than those who flout them. Congress could do almost anything with regards to immigration reform and I'd be happy if it met that principle.
Ping!
I am so disappointed with fred barnes and William Crystal. I used to subscribe to their magazine until they started with this BS. Now they are calling their own friends names. Now I would not wipe my butt with their propaganda rag.
Indeed, voters voted exactly that. Whether they knew it or not that is exactly what will be the results of believing the RATS. What could be funnier than to believe that a party which planned, organized, staffed, directed, marched in, spoke for and spoke at the huge rallies in the Spring is ANTI-anti-alien?
It is just unfortunate that such mind-boggling ignorance and gullibility will be so costly and dangerous.
When the rallies were taking place I warned these were daggers the RATS would use to hurt the GOP. As I predicted the ensuing firestorm of hysteria and hatred they raised (achieving their perpetrators' goals in spades) against the GOP here helped defeat the party.
It is remarkable how so-called conservatives can be manipulated so easily by the Party of Treason/Treason Media.
J.D. Heyworth here in AZ5 didn't talk about anything but border fences for the last year. He lost.
The bottom line, the congress passed a border fence, but did *not* pass "amnesty", and the Repubs lost. Either the swing voters were mad because they think a fence is a simpleton answer to a complex question, or they wanted a more comprehensive approach and didn't get it. Either way, the enforcement only option is a loser.
Political consequences be d*mned! Social consequences be d*mned! Cultural consequences be d*amned! Religious consequences be d*amned! America will have uncontrolled immigration.
It was a g-d landslide, for Chrissakes!
How can you look at it any other way?
Amnesty for 20 - 30 million illegals is a given. That's what the rats wanted, that's what the rino's in the senate wanted, and that's what Bush wants. So get used to double rate homeowners taxes to support the illegals in the spanish only schools, and a doubling of medical insurance to pay for their medical that they don't pay a dime for.
Thank you Mark Krikorian.
I'm bookmarking this because it lays out in clearcut fashion what the open border sychophants have attempted to peddle is hogwash.
Unfortunately I'll have need to direct people to this again and again.
Unfortunately we're in the position of having a President that is .... very much NOT an ally of the American people and our sovereignty on this issue. That leaves a) Senators willing to block it in enough numbers...I can hear the laughter or b) Enough Dems in the house newly elected by pretending to be something they weren't getting scared and shutting down such a bill in anticipation of '08. I don't like being in a position where we're reliant on Dems, and I have little hope on the score.
As for the President? I don't trust him on domestic issues, and certainly not on this one. He cares more about the good opinion of his enemies, then those that got him there and had his back for years even in the bad times. Loyalty is a two way street. He can't demand loyalty, and return none. Yet that is what he did for years, and the day he basically called me a racist for not supporting illegal acts...well, that was the final straw.
Now would I still have elected him? hell yeah. Because no matter what else he does, we got Roberts and Alito. We had to fight for them, but we got them. And with rehnquist dying we would have been down to only two without him. So, yes, in the end he did make a big impact that will have far reaching resonance over the years we'll appreciate.
Hopefully amnesty doesn't make this contribution null and void in that long term.
Bush Announces Million Mexicans a Month Plan
President Bush and Mexican President-elect Felipe Calderon pledged to work closely on border security and migration, which Bush said remains a top priority for his administration. Bush told reporters, I assured the president-elect that comprehensive immigration reform is something I believe needs to happen.
Under the Bush plan, the U.S. will move its security perimeter to Mexicos southern border. Mexicos southern border is much shorter than the northern one, Bush pointed out. It will be easier to patrol to prevent unauthorized entry into both countries.
Mexicos southern border would be jointly patrolled by armed forces from the two nations. As compensation for allowing the U.S. to move its security perimeter south from the Rio Grande, Mexico will receive funds from the U.S. sufficient to support one million Mexicans. The payments will be made monthly based on a random drawing of names on the unemployment rolls. Mexicans must appear in person to collect.
Bush expressed confidence that the monthly stipends would deter Mexicans from seeking to enter the U.S. illegally. If Mexicans are already getting checks from America without having to work, why would they sneak into America to take sub-minimum wage jobs? Bush asked.
I was strongly struck by President Bushs comments where he said that the new Congress could open new possibilities of understanding, Calderon said, This is a very opportune moment for both countries to pursue the goal of a comprehensive international migration reform.
In related news, Democrats have announced plans to repeal the recently enacted border security fence between the U.S. and Mexico. The voters have elected Democrats to end the racist Republican scheme to shut out our Hispanic brothers, said Senator Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.). The American people want us to extend the hand out of friendship, not put barriers between neighbors. Kennedy said he was also working on a tax package to fund education and healthcare benefits for recent migrants, most of whom are poorly educated and have no insurance.

In all these years since his immigration to the US as a boy; Martinez learned nothing about the US. Just amazingly disappointing!
