Group holds vigil outside fort today (an da NUT-JOBS was FREEPED)
Sierra Vista Herald, Sierra Vista Arizona ^ | Bill Hess

FORT HUACHUCA — The annual vigil concerning alleged training of torture procedures on the post will happen today near the fort’s Main Gate.

The object of the event, which is held in conjunction with the annual nationwide vigil against the now defunct Army School of the Americas at Fort Benning, Ga., is to protest military intelligence training that foster humiliation, intimidation and torture, according to the Tucson School of Americas Watch. The local protest will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m., with the gathering point at the northeast corner of Fry Boulevard and Buffalo Soldier Trail.

In the past the Main Gate was closed during the protest period, but fort spokeswoman Tanja Linton said there are no plans to close the gate this year.

Entrance to the fort requires a military vehicle sticker and the showing of an identification card. Those without a sticker have to obtain a temporary pass before entering the post.

Tucson School of Americas Watch claims the Intelligence Center on the fort educates military personnel in torture and the students train others from around the world in such methods.

The Department of the Defense recently released a new training manual for interrogation methods, which was similar to previous editions, but with additional stringent requirements.

Never has the Army or Defense Department condoned torture, top defense officials have said.

Tucson School of Americas Watch also alleges Maj. Gen. Barbara Fast, commander of the Intelligence Center and the fort, has links to the torture scandal during the Abu Ghraib prison scandal.

While she was the senior intelligence officer in Iraq during the prison scandal, she never has been accused of involvement with the torture practices at the Iraqi prison.

Are the orange suits easy to come by?

They make me think of the line of "Gitmo" clothing that Rush Limbaugh had a couple years ago..............LOL

Sandrat, this is a wonderful thread, everyone should see it.

Ok, now you all have pictures!

Frank, Bob, 'General' Pat, Tina and Mike, with Protest Warrior leader Dennis in front
(Above) Infidels declare non-allegiance to terrorist states before leaving Tucson.
'We demand an end to torture By The US Government,' his sign demands. Obviously, an anti-capitalist.
(Above) This angry irrational activist may have been affected by too much toxic dye in his shirt.
A contrast to other moonbats
(Above) A videographer from New Mexico soon realized this is no ordinary liberal rally for surrender peace. He was willing to listen and discuss in a polite fashion.
Later Spiff gave some soldiers a ride to the store.
(Above) Spiff supports the troops while I lean my sign for a moment. I'm working on a lighter version of it!

We are the moonbats, my friend, and we'll keep surrendering...till the end
(Above) We had a permit and were the first on the scene but moonbats mingled then tried to take over corners with sheer power of numbers.
The US Marine flag was also spotted behind this crowd later
(Above) Counter-infiltration occurs on south side of Fry as a moonbat xing sign and American flag appear above liberals.
Vrrooom, Vroooom!
(Above) There was a lot going on across Fry Blvd but I never made it to that side all day except to plant flags at the beginning! Freeper Maggie was very active there.

Kelly reads Free Republic a lot.
(Above) Lurker Kelly holds up an American flag during the moonbat speech.
The cops were nice guys and veterans but had some crazy rules.
(Above) Human police line keeps Pro-Americans from attending supposedly open moonbat rally while allowing us to make "as much noise as we want."
Patriotic Music, anyone?
(Above) Spiff obligingly aims his sonic weapon at left-wing speakers. They tried to turn the volume up on their own sound system, but it was already up all the way.
I'm turning my website into a blog!
(Above) At the end of the day, former Republican District 8 Representative candidate Randy Graf is optimistic for the future.

Thanks, Dinah, and it was fun. I forgot one photo I was going to put up! We have two of these big banners and put them back to back.

Ok, one more story which took place right by that sign:

Moonbat: I just wanted to know, what is the relevance of your "Say No To Communism" sign?

\/\/ayne: I believe that Communist groups play a leadership role in the "anti-war" movement in order to recruit people.

Moonbat: What makes you think that they're leaders?

\/\/ayne: To answer that, let me ask you something. You seem like you've been in the "anti-war" movement for a while. Do you know any Communists? (she nodded). Do you know the Party Secretary of the Arizona district of Communist Party USA?

Moonbat: Yes
\/\/ayne: Well, I probably don't need get it out to show you, but I have a newspaper picture of him directing a protest at the University of Arizona. That's a leadership role.

Moonbat:(Interrupting) But that doesn't mean...

\/\/ayne: (Interrupting) It's a plain fact he directs anti-war protests. (I didn't have a chance to say it but he's the leader of the Tucson Peace Action Coalition which coordinates protests.)

Moonbat: OK! (turns to go)

\/\/ayne: You know, Marxist regimes killed over 100 million people in the 20th Century while...

Moonbat: I don't want to hear it! I just wanted to know the relevance...and you told me. Goodbye!

\/\/ayne: I know. Facts can be really scary sometimes!

I caught a nearby moonbat couple looking askance at the conversation!

The orange suit guys, make me think of prisoners, so they do need to be back under lock and key.

Maybe the Freepers could have fake jails, for orange suits, at the protests.

God Bless all the folks that traveled and stood their U.S.A. ground. That biker ride through was very cool.

I found this conversation to be extremely enlightening and extremely scary at the same time. How many people know what these folks know, and how many are dupes on a percentage basis. 90/10? I guess that would be 10/90 commies to dupes? Any guesses?

LATE BREAKING!!!

Just got word that in the coming days/weeks/months CNN will be on post to do an investigative story on the Intelligence School on Ft. Huachuca and what it being taught. Got this directly from a couple of the 91E (Interrogator) Master Instructors. No specific dates were offered just that they were coming. Will be interesting to see if CNN gets it right or spins it like they usually do to fit their agenda.

wita, I would guess about 10-20 percent are hard core admitted card carrying Communists, however, most of the others believe that Communism is just a different form of government which is just as good as any other.

I often ask the ones who say they don't agree with Communism to state "for the record" that Communism is evil specifically because of the deaths. Only a very few will, often I get answers like "I don't believe in good or evil" or them asking "What do you think as 'evil?'" To which I reply: "Killing 148 million people."
