Even if McCain somehow sneaks through the primaries to win the GOP nomination a significant number of the REAL conservative base of the Republican party will not support him.

I am one of those conservatives who will never vote for McCain. And it does NOT matter who he might be matched up against in a potential 2008 Presidential campaign.

The potential candidates for 2008 that I can't not stand the most, ranking the worst at the top.

Here is what I think, based on MTP today. The MSM was frustrated that the dems could not win elections so they jumped in with both feet, stopped being the least bit subtle and became an all out propaganda arm...and it worked. They are really feeling their oats. Their next goal is to run our foreign policy, at least as it relates to Iraq and Iran. I believe they think they can accomplish this.

There are huge reasons why John McCain will go nowhere in the Primaries. One reason is that the rest of the GOP knows that he is not liked at all by the Base, and never will be. They have plenty of time to put someone in there that will be acceptable to the Base. Another reason is that the base (Conservatives) will not accept corrupt Politicians, they throw them out as they did in the 2006 election. John MCcain is very corrupt, and the DBM has all the info they need to trash him from day one, if he should win the Nomination. We know this now, so it will not happen. CFR is the biggest reason why McCain will fall on his crazy butt. That is another reason he will get nowhere with the base,he is crazy as a loon, and a backstabbing turncoat that can never be trusted. We are beginning to see more and more every day that Mccain set up CFR for his own Presidential Benefit, and he did not care the damage to to his own party. Toast thy name is MCCain................
