I enjoy the banter and comments on many articles. Still, I have to admit I use FR for the links more than comments. No other source has as many "eyes" looking at everything around the world and posting it. FR was my source, linking me to Clinton cheating at golf in Australia. Drudge reported on Monica but it was FR that dissected all the information that was coming out.
Yes, I like the comments and commentary too. Freepers provide insight that no news source has, or if they do they fail to report it. If I have the time I'll read more comments. But otherwise I concentrate on getting the news that I can use.
Thanks for the link did not work well on this computer....BUT....you reminded me of what I missed. Turned on FNC and there it was in the replay. I am always astounded by the arrogance of Kerry.
I agree. The goal has to be persuading our county and state parties and educating the voting public. Yeah, it's a tall order because of the opposition we face. But it has to be done to win.
Guess we'll agree to disagree then. Newt makes the most sense of all the pols, hands down.
Tom DeLay should insist on a trial, IMO. He'll never clear his name otherwise.
I agree with you 100%.
They are not likey to be led around the nose by the likes of the botox broad.
I'll be for him if he gets the nomination
LOL...work harder please. I don't want to go from the frying pan into the fire. LOL
The vicious rhetoric coming from the likes of Buchanan, and at times, Tancredo, do nothing to win folks to our ideas.
When people turn the radio on and hear slurs and slams they are not inclined to listen to our ideas.
I hate to rain on YOUR parade, but conservatives don't let the DBM/MSM pick our Presidential contenders. Who the hell cares if the 'moderates' and the left doesn't like Newt? Evidently you haven't seen Newt lately. He's become much more likable and statesman-like. He's a genious walking amongst Presidential wannabees.
Feelings, posturing, and insults, do nothing to advance the discussion.
I wasn't attacking anyone and I don't need your lecture from you, OldFriend. Keep up with the thread. Did you also admonish samantha for her #494 post to me? I wrote that I agreed with her on her post to me (see #485 & #546)
LOL.....ah, yes, your civility is on parade.
LOL.... and your attempt to be the thread police is pathetic, Gladys Kravitz.
In that case, the Blue Dogs backed an anti-War liberal in Hoyer.
Murtha has a lifetime ACU rating of about 33, compared to Hoyer at 8. Murtha was far more conservative than Hoyer.
Just for reference Lieberman is a 17 lifetime. Chafee is a 37.
Lifetime, Hillary is a 9, Feinstein an 11, Cynthia McKinney a 7.
The liberal Hoyer was the winner, I doubt if Pelosi is too bummed out. I'm not saying Murtha would be a better choice, but Hoyer is far left.
And to all:
I think what I'll start doing, instead of reposting the graphics that Snugs does (at the end of the thread after the winners are announced), is just provide a link to the actual page in the previous week's thread where the winners are decided. I'll do this right at the beginning of the thread to pick up where the last week's thread ended. Anyone can then go and read how the awards were decided, and who was the judge. I'll also post a link to Snugs' graphics. Just remind me, whoever is judging, via FReepmail when you post your winners. I'm on a lot of fast moving ping lists (especially the canteen threads) that might give me 100's (or even thousands!) of pings a day, so FReepmail is the best place to catch my eye. Of course, I can just go look at the end of the last week's thread!
What do you all think? Let me know, anyone.
Now, can anyone tell me the HTML code in href to post the PARTICULAR post number WITHIN a thread, as opposed to just the thread itself? LOL! I used to know how!
I like the idea, now if I just knew that darned HTML code you need...... oh well, bet someone does.
:)
