After last week's admission by Larry King that he knows absolutely nothing about a computer...never used one..
It seems that now, a lot of the talk show hosts, while making fun of Larry...are also exposing their lack of curiosity.
I heard Bill O'Reilly, on his radio show, admit that he rarely looks at any websites for news or research..and in fact, railed against people for spending too much time on their computers.
I have heard a couple of Congresscritters asked about their computer habits..and a couple said they get their news from the newspapers!! you know, that bastion of all truth, the New York Times....
They don't even take the time to read the legislation that they are voting on....so we know they won't take the time to read any of the wonderfully researched news sites on the WWW.
I'm perfectly open to doing that. As "ringmaster" of this bunch I'd look to you to discuss this with Alas Babylon! and the rest of the Jedi Council and then let Snugs know what the decision is.
That is very interesting and maybe the Republicans can learn from that regarding fund raising.
Webb won by 7000 votes. Ninety-two percent of Muslims in Virginia voted for Webb, that is 43,000 Muslim votes.
I read this on an election site. Are there nearly 50,000 Muslims in Virginia?
I understand that they have training camps in sparsely populated wooded sections. Does anyone from Virginia have more info on this?
First, the state is starting to trend Dem. Northern VA is becoming a Dem stronghold, which impacts the entire state because of demographics.
#####
The same demographics have made Maryland unwinnable for a statewide Republican candidate. The money associated with working in the DC area is huge and will only continue to grow to be an ever larger influence. Charles and Howard county in MD went Dem for the first time. I attribute that to well-paid Federal employee commuters, who are living farther and farther from the Beltway, and have a vested interest in big government.
It is either succumb to despar or switch to the Food Channel for my TV viewing from now on!
Hehehhe..yeah! God help us! :)
The reason that makes me think they are not Reagan Democrats is because Rahm Emanuel and Chuck Schummer hand picked these candidates
There is no way the Soros & The Union Bosses of the world will continue to front money for the Dem Party if they have elected officials that will go against the party
There will be smalls cases where they will vote on a conservative issue.. much like Reid did .. but on the big issues .. they will side with the Dems .. especially if the dems need the votes to pass it
There is a SLIM chance that some of them will buck the democrats .. but I wouldn't count on it and if they do .. they'll find many doors closed on their faces
I have met President Bush only briefly on only one occasion. His ability to make personal contact consistently individual by individual was awesome enough. One could see that quite dramatically when he greeted each and every graduating Air Force Cadet. His whole life history is one suggesting a high "contentional intelligence" which in combination with his background and family predicted his success.
&&&&&&
President Bush is in the genius category of this kind of intelligence - and were he a Dem, every American would have been made aware of this talent, by an adoring media.
I wrote this post the day after the election....I could not believe the nerve of the imbecile literally gloating on his network over the Republican's defeat!
Did anyone here watch TMC the day after the elections? Turner, the CLYMER, had a small break between movies and he had a clip of the WH oval office with a RED balloon flying out of the room and a lot of Red balloon flowing away in the sky while some old flick film showed, cut and paste type, girls from the old clip waving goodbye to the Red Balloons as the wind carried them away into the atmosphere. UGH, I hope his fortune dries up!! That was the last straw that broke the camels back...he's outta my house..permanently!! That's too bad cause I love the old films without commercials...:(
Just read on Drudge that Rangle wants to reimpose a military draft. Good. Americans oppose that so it will be interesting to see how much support he gets.
Just another typical Democrat in office. If Rangle does this I will be sending emails to eveyone asking if this is what they wanted from a Democrat win?
OK, I'm getting tired of explaining this. You earn a paycheck, therefore you are one of "the rich" and definitely not a member of the dependent middle class whom the Dhimmicrats serve.
See my #453. All these things are going to be in play over the next two years.
I should have complimented your efforts too. I'm amazed you guys were able to do as much as you did. Just fantastic.
Ratsk!
Thanks Cindy... excellent.
And this piece (Jim Webb's War (New York Sun, NY - Nov 13, 2006)) gives a good outline of Webb's race based view of the world as described in his latest nonfiction book Born Fighting: How the Scots-Irish Shaped America:
#####
I have not read Jim Webb's book Born Fighting, but I heard him on several shows during his book tour a few years ago. The message that came through from his own words, was that he was a man who categorized and judged people in a very racist way. Although Scots-Irish form part of his own heritage, he sounded very superior and judgmental in his recounting of their pre-dominant (to his outlook) traits.
I disliked him from those interviews, and have seen nothing to change my mind in this campaign.
