I hereby retract any hopeful things I said about Webb helping the conservative cause. He's too far gone.Yup.

Count me as

Honey, what you been smoking? You didn't actually think he would be on our side did you? Hellllloooo! They're back in power, they'll never relinquish that mud pit!!

Wallace screwed up big time. He should have confronted Kerry with his 1971 testimony against his fellow veterans calling them murderers, rapists, and junkies.

It's a total love fest on Meet the Odd Couple Press this morning. Russert hasn't laughed this much since his last interview on Imush.

All those dems candidates that ran on conservative issues knew all along they would not buck the Dems when it comes to voting
Which is why we didn't see the loons protesting them during the election

Timmy brought of Harry Reid's lie saying he would put Tester on appropriations so Montana wouldn't lose out on pork by voting for Tester and then reneged. The point of this was to allow that lie to be smoothed over and Tester picked up that ball, so you see, no dissention in the dem ranks and Dingy is forgiven.

Great read, Fishtalk. It sure would be nice to see more of this happening across the country. Let us know when they string you up for blasphemy.

Webb is pushing a theme of economic equality. He wants the government to get involved more in ensuring a more equitable distribution of wealth. This translates into more taxes on the "rich" and targetted tax cuts for the middle class. It is typical Dem phliosophy, i.e., class warfare and using government to shape not only equal opportunity, but ensure equal outcomes. In other words, they want more socialism.

I believe that Russert has jumped the shark. after a few days of basking in the after glow most of the Die hard Liberal rat fanatics will drift away from these shows, as will a lot of the Middle of the Road, straddle the fence types. The crazies and ethically challenged Rats will be out there for all to see, and the DBM will be very scared that the Rats will only have two years and then will lose Power again. They will try to re-make sleaze into something acceptable. Barney Frank will not stay out of the limelight, they will not be able to keep him hidden away like they did in the last several weeks before the election. He will be out there on every show trolling for a new Lover. He knows that his new Power and status will attract many new prospective housemates, because that is what a lot of Washington DC is about. How else would Newt Gingrich ever get anyone young, good looking to mess with while Married? It is all about Power and Status, but America is watching and they will not be thrilled to watch a freak show that the Rat Party has become. I believe that putting Hoyer in there spells trouble for the Rats, and that is good because they realize that the average voter will see them up close instead of all the staged sound bites and will not like what they see. The Rats know this, but there are so many wackos that they will have a huge fight on heir hands if they try to keep them all caged and not in power positions. This is very good...

All I can say is every time the Democrats target taxes against the rich and claim they are lowering taxes on the middle class, I always end up paying more. Democrats promise something they cannot deliver: equality of outcome.

Honey, what you been smoking?LOL... I think a lot of people were 'smoking' on Nov. 7th... and now they've found themselves back in 1974.

Timmy's segment on Iran with Koppel and Wright is the most scripted thing I think I've ever seen. It is all about how Iran is no threat and not to be concerned about. They chant death to America, but don't worry, they don't really mean it.

Agreed, AB, that Allen ran a terrible campaign. Also he jumped on Webb's opinions about women in combat, which put Allen on the pro-women in combat camp. Not smart.
Similary, in Arizona much is said about J.D.'s loss. He too ran a miserable campaign. His opponent, Harry Mitchell, ran some negative ads. J.D. spent the bulk of his advertising countering those charges , BUT, in doing so, he reiterated every charge against himself, before answering. In affect, J.D.'s own ads attacked J.D.
Imho, J.D. panicked. Most of the stuff he brought up, we'd forgotten about or didn't care about. In fact, I never saw one Mitchell ad attacking J.D. (I was out of town for 2 weeks in Oct.), but I didn't need to because J.D. did it himself.
At the end, J.D. realized he'd screwed up and did lots of positive radio, but it was too little too late. Mitchell and his negative charges were a gnat on J.D's back-side that could've been swatted away, if he hadn't made an issue of it.
I'm curious if any other Arizonans agree.

Wow, I did not know that about Tom Delay. He lives to help children such as the many Foster children he has been caring for in the last several years.

I'm watching Chris give Kerry one big ___ whupping right now! I'm surprised how hard Chris is going at him about the "joke" Kerry made a few weeks ago.Why surprised? The media and the Dims are furious at him for almost blowing the election for them with his stuck in Iraq comments. And now that it's known that the Dims are shunning him on Capitol Hill, the media realizes that they can attack him with impunity (for a short while, anyway) and not risk angering their allies.
