They've had their fingers crossed since January 2001
Well, that's one of their several stances. Another is that the President is a brilliant strategist who engineered 9/11 so he count go into Iraq and steal all their oil. Or something like that. (It's hard to tell sometimes--liberals aren't always that clear on things.)
Demotion? How do you "demote" a Vice-President? Mr. Cheney is the best.
The "Globe" and friends are idiots.
The Two minutes of hate continues....
I see the Dems proposing the Week of Hate soon...
Not to worry....in the years to come they all will see it was W guiding the ship of nstate, and VP Cheney as the best VP we've ever had, handling the chores given him by the "boss"
uhhh,, Ok. geeshh.. sore whiners "winners" or what?
These people seem to see malfeasance and treachery under every rock. Must really create a vacuum to be them.
The Globe should stick to alien abductions and crap circles.
This trashing of Cheney would be understandable if he were thinking of running for President in 2008. Otherwise it's just an example of paranoia on the part of the Left.
Dick Cheney is a very capable individual. He's the type of heavyweight we should have as a Vice-President. He's worked in the corporate climate and achieved quite a bit due to his abilities.
What the Dems would have, is a person who was elected to office in their mid-twenties and had never held a public sector job. With few exceptions Bill Clinton was that type of individual. Al Gore was a perfect match. And their abilities???
Dick Cheney has been a asset to this nation. He gave up a job which paid in excess of $10 million per year, to become Bush's running mate. The guy has ability, devotion to country and the temperment to take a secondary position.
While I don't agree with Cheney on everything, and in fact disagree with him quite a bit on a few things, he is still a very capable individual. What I disagree with him on, are traits that the left cherishes. For this reason, I think it's almost an aspect of insanity for them to object to him so stridently.
The left dispising him as they do, must be a feather in the cap of Cheney. When people of that level of mentality and moral degeneration dispise you, it's got to say something good about you.
More leftist rubbish from the jerks running this newspaper.
Who cares what the Boston Globe writes????
Vice President Cheney has more class in his little finger than all the people of Mass. will ever have and that includes anyone or anything that publishes in the Boston Globe....
That paper is good for the bottom of bird cages....
Where was Cheney during the '06 election? Anyone? Like I've said for years, he's a disaster to the GOP... Should have been demoted to senior advisor years ago.
NYC Republican....didn't know NYC had any left....
In praising the VP, you said he showed his stuff running Haliburton. How about Secretary of Defense under Bush 41? He was the youngest White House Chief of Staff (President Ford). Six term Congressman from Wyoming. The list goes on. IMHO, one of the GREAT leaders this country has had. Trashing this man would NOT be understandable at all.
But no surprise that the liberal press does not agree.

Bush spech from 10 years ago. His delivery was powerful and compelling. Compare it to today's delivery, what gives?
That's the problem, George casts doubt on his own policies with his halting delivery. I wish he wouldn't trash his inner circle. he needs them.
First of all he went to South Dakota for his annual hunting trip, after first voting in Wyoming on election day - which by my calender was only eleven day ago. And last Wednesday, the 15th, he spoke at a Federalist Society function.
So missing from "public view" my patoot.
(The Globe has to stop putting LSD in their Coffee Room sugar bowl)
