I wonder just how long our So. Baptist leaders are going to put up with this mess before dealing with Warren?

Right on, Kevin.
There is definitely something for Barack Obama to gain by appearing in Rick Warren's pulpit – the implied endorsement and blessing for the 2008 presidential race. There is definitely something for Rick Warren to gain in promoting Obama and giving him time behind the altar of God's word – power and access to a future heavyweight contender for the highest office in the land.

I have to admit, I never knew Obama's stand on social issues, in particular abortion. And now having read about it, I think even less of him than I did before. How can ANYONE support this smooth-talking scum? Supporting partial birth murder - how can he call himself a Christian???

I'll burn my copy of Warren's book.

This is nothing new, remember when a certain global mega-preacher turned over his altar to the Clintons and blessed them as good?
What is the one thing these people believe first and foremost in their future???? They are NOT going to be here to suffer through that tribulation, so they are on the fast track to save a many souls as they can before they usher in their flight out of here.

Because of Warren's concern about Africa and the AIDs epidemic?

"I wonder just how long our So. Baptist"...
Over the last few years, I am becoming more convinced that every "mainstream denomination" is becoming the lie that Christ warned about. Interpretation of the bible to exclude sin as sin is being preached from pulpits every Sunday.

Barak Hussein Obama.
That should give everyone a clue as to what he is, and what his goals are!

While both movements have their positives and negatives, Rick Warren/Purpose-Driven is definitely not part of Emergent Church.

The pastors of these mega-churches, although they may start out as godly men, often turn corrupt when they realize the POWER and MONEY they have! They seek to INCREASE there already huge membership by giving everyone a "feel good" experience. That feel good experience doesn't happen if you point out to someone what he is doing wrong in his life.

There are many who believe he is a "closet muslim."
My gut tells me that this is probably the case.
Can you imagine the HORROR of him winning the presidency and then announcing his religion? Can you imagine the money it would take to provide the security to keep him from being assassinated?

Rick Warren has cozied up to Syria and Obama??? What does he want to be...President or Pastor?? You can't be both, Ricky. And letting a pro-abortion GUEST speak at your CHURCH is EVIL....period.
