No need to shred anything. Just classify the documents as secret, if they aren't already classified. These materials should be classified because it's vital not to release details of how we interrogate terror suspects. If we're trying to locate some WMD heading for America some day, we don't want the terror suspects to know what to expect in an interrogation. If they can prepare mentally for the interrogation, then our methods are less effective.
This should not be a difficult witch hunt to stop by legitimately classifying these documents under national security laws. Leahy can whine and bitch all he wants but he still won't get his witch hunt.
