I imagine the reason WM was even offering the book in the first place is their buyer read the publisher's description of the book and so no harm in it. I don't imagine each and every book WM receives is read before a decision is made to purchase it.
Both Amazon and WM used the exact same wording to describe the book so I'm pretty sure that was the publisher's description. Kind of sneaky but then I'm also relatively certain the publisher knew how people would respond if an accurate representation of the book was made available.
I'm in complete and total agreement with you.
Which is EXACTLY why I find this attack on WalMart by Life Site to be suspect. Why not attack the publisher, or at least Amazon along with WalMart?
That is my sole objection to this entire situation.....it is singling out one, and giving others a pass. I don't deal with Amazon, but I would take the exact same position if they had gone after Amazon and gave the publisher or WalMart a pass. Heck, I would have the same position if it were Target or Barnes and Noble, and have nothing good to say about either of those stores.
