Struggle? A region essentially devoid of people can struggle? Where do these people learn to write?
Some of the best poets--Wordsworth, Coleridge, Milton--have mentioned that if they put consciousness into inanimate objects when they were learning how poetry is done they would receive a severe discipline from their writing teacher.
