Boehner has done nothing wrong.

He was part of the pork uber alles mindset in the last GOP House. We need a fiscal conservative, not more of the same.

Boehner accepts no pork. That's one thing I like about him.

I'm not defending Boehner because I don't know that much about him, but I'm asking simply so I can understand -- what it is that makes him so undesirable as Minority Leader? I had read that he did not take 'pork' back to Ohio, and had told the union leaders when he ran for Congress that he wouldn't. Was that not true?

I had admired him for continuing to pursue Jim McDermott in the courts for his illegal distribution of an illegally obtained tape of a private phone conversation. I was glad to see someone finally have the gumption to go after a Democrat. It seems to me that we have seen Dems get by with one illegal act after another while Republicans rolled over and played dead. Yet, a Republican would be persecuted and driven from office for a lesser offense than the Democrat committed. I would like to see Dems held accountable for their misdeeds, and I hoped he would be one to speak up. However, I have not kept up with his voting record, so there's probably a lot I don't know that you do.

Boehner has never earmarked anything for his district..told his constituents he was not about pork. He served in the House as a minority prior to 94. I don't think he will stop fighting to return to the majority. There is a Dow Jones posting out about how he will give no quarter to the Dems. I get the feeling Blunt hated working within Hastert's (too) low key style. He strikes me as a fighter.
