All on John McCain.
You and my husband served in the same timeframe. God bless you for your service, and THANK YOU.
These coronations are so tiring and unhelpful.
In my case there wasn't even a Republican CongressCritter on the ballot. The Democrat primary is where the real action is. I don't think the Donner Party is where McCain rejectors are either. McCain rejectors won't cannibalize each other. Remember that the Constitution is silent wrt political parties and that that the two major parties have changed over the centuries and are likely to do so again (Do you believe in Global Warming too?). The US will survive Hitlery!, like we survived her better half.
Brit's panel it an isolated elite that can't see reality.
bttt
I've never voted more than once.
He also said people could vote twice, which actually is not the case.
Thought the poll was wrongly constructed. No opponent was listed. I'd be fer him agin some, and agin him agin othern.
Just because Brit quoted the poll does not necessarily mean he lurks here. Most likely someone on his staff was assigned to find out what conservative internet sites think about the McCain throwing his hat in the ring.
Just checked the poll results and 7.5% of members and 10% overall (including non-members) voted for McCain. Sounds very high to me. Think we have more liberal sleeper members than we think.
You must register to post but not to vote on polls.
I'd read we shouldn't place much credit in polls.
I tend to think that was a typso and should have been "we shouldn't place much credit in pol's," or politicians.
Not if the GOP sells out FIRST.
Wonder what a poll of McCain vs Giuliani would reveal?
"It would be time to flee the country."
Or simply start one of your own in a state that just rebuffed the World Court today,...Texas. Yeeeehaw!
I will not support McCain in the primaries. If he is the only choice, I will not vote for a candidate in the primary.
My objections to his candidacy are twofold, and actually have nothing to do with his political positions, which are actually pretty conservative.
My first concern is that he is not emotionally stable, and may fly off in a temper tantrum at an inopportune time, or morph into a repeat of his "I'm Luke Skywalker" rant. Disaster, and I don't think someone like that should be president.
I also am totally convinced that the Rats and the media have a huge amount of dirt on him and are hoping that we commit to him as the nominee, as they are ready to unload it. The media are not really his friends; they just use him to bash Bush. Once he gets the nomination, they will immediately drop any pretence of admiring him and drag out the Keating 5, his wife's drug problem, suspicions about his behavior as a POW, and any unguarded comment he made chatting with them on the "Straight Talk Express."
That being said, should McCain get the nomination through some horrible twist of fate, I will support and vote for him, because he would have to pick cabinet officials from our bench. I am trusting that his staff would keep him in check, and that should he prove too nutso his vice president could take over.
I absolutely will not allow a democrat to win. They are not only nuts, they are evil and will destroy this nation.

Does this mean I'm famous now since I posted the story Jim made the poll from? LOL
