Maybe the staff didn't like working for someone honest.

"thorny issues as tax cuts, immigration reform and the Iraq war"
hey, knock herself out. who's laughing? the media whose subscriptions are dying? thats what laughable. Their idea that they are important to society, and as interior design for most domesticated birds in D.C.

Well, if they actually *did* erase
files...I hope they made sure to erase any back-ups and DoD Overwrite them all as well.

Did they wipe the drives the files were stored on?
Did they follow procedures that would entirely remove any trace of the files?
If they didn't, the files can possibly be recovered.

She prompted chuckles in The Washington Post and other national
publications by telling reporters she planned to resolve such thorny issues as
tax cuts, immigration reform and the Iraq war - all in less than two
weeks of a lame-duck Congress. And then her staff walked out without warning.
That's beautiful.
As they say in show bidness, "you couldn't write this stuff".

For a short time, she controls whatever money is left in DeLay's budget. I would think she could pay for a restoration attempt of the files from that money.

If all they did was delete files, no problem.
Nothing ever leaves your computer
Unless you wipe the HD about 7 times, smash it with a hammer and melt it at 4000 degrees.
I know.
I deleted many files and then brought them back (with the help of a pro) to fight some diabolical vitriolic character assassination.
Film at 11
BTW, the files are in several safe locations, one of which is Funk and Waggonal's front porch in a hermetically sealed mayonnaize jar

Sekula-Gibbs said in a statement Thursday that seven employees in her Washington office and the district office in Stafford, Texas, outside Houston, "deleted records and files without my knowledge or permission" before quitting. She did comment, however, that all seven employees had no visible skin blemishes.
Isn't it nice that she can use her actual qualifications?

" Sekula Gibbs said the staffers walked out of her office Tuesday, resigning en masse. A Capitol Hill newspaper, Roll Call, reported the staffers didn't like the way she was treating them.
Sekula-Gibbs said ... that seven employees in her (actually, someone else's'
)... office ... "deleted records and files without my knowledge or permission" before quitting. " Am I the only one here who reads this as the infantile chatter of someone who has absolutely no idea of her position in life - and who is just a tad miffed that seven staffers would want to depart rather than to work for her??
