From the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee:
Demand House Republicans Denounce Ann Coulter's Hate-Speech Petition
We, the Undersigned, endorse the following petition:
Target: Republican Members in the United States Congress
Sponsor: Democratic Congressonal Campaign Committee
As Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said on the House floor recently, we are blessed with many freedoms, and among those is the right to freely speak our minds. While Freedom of Speech is one of the principles that makes our country great, it also means we have to endure hate filled rhetoric, like what was recently used by Ann Coulter.
In her new book, the princess of the Right slanders the 9/11 widows, writing: "These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief parrazies. I have never seen people enjoying their husband's death so much."
Ann Coulter has the right to speak of hate, but we also have a right to know whether our politicians stand by these hate filled comments. And right now there's a deafening silence from the Republican side, and their silence is allowing her to be their spokesperson.
Join the DCCC in telling Republicans to denounce Ann Coulter's hate speech - Ask the House Republicans is Ann Coulter speaking for you?
Sieg heil!
(Is this what the country voted for last Tuesday?)
Question: why do the eminently hateable not like to be publicly described? Ann has the right to hate, even if I don't agree.
They don't want to silence Ann Coulter -- they want to silence THE TRUTH ABOUT THEM.
The Dems are only for free speech if it's something they agree with.
A "Democrats have the same tolerance as their Muslim allies" ping.
Ann,
Come to Reno, Nevada and I'll buy you dinner, if you promise to keep talking this way.
They want to silence Ann Coulter because she has more class and more brains than all of them put together. Case closed.
Will the Liberals be condemning and silencing moveon.org, George Soros, and the rest of their un-American hate mongers.
More from the party of tolerance and inclusion.
Meanwhile, I hope Ann Coulter sends them a hand-written thank you card for giving her so much free publicity.
some of the comments on the petition are hilarious
Why don't they go after Bill Maher, Chris Matthews and Keith...oh that's right they are democrats and they have the only right to hate speech.
"Will the Liberals be condemning and silencing moveon.org, George Soros, and the rest of their un-American hate mongers."
Soros is undoubtedly behind this.
Silencing Coulter has been one of his missions. He's already put his stooges at "Media Matters" on the job:

"Her new book"? Thing's several months old. Can't they find something else to exercise their teensy little minds?
What the heck are parrazies?
I wasnt too keen on how she worded her argument, but then again, that Ann.
I challenge all here on FR to contact their House and Senate representatives and let them know you are against this type of Nazi like extremism of silencing an American simply because they don't like the message. This must be stopped in it's tracks quickly. If not, then we will see a real erosion of our rights rather than the accusations of erosions we've all heard from the dems over the last several years. The dems obviously wish to silence all opposition from the get-go in order to ensure their continuity of power from this past election cycle.
The gifts from the following this past election continues to grow in number and size.
Key words to describe what we are going through and will be going through thanks to the Bush haters on the left and the right since the recent lesson er election.
