There is no ethnic Tamil problem in India. I don't know what you are talking about, but the war is happening in Sri Lanka's Jaffna peninsula. India's Tamil Nadu state has no violence/separatism, whatsoever!

Folks,there are probably more Sikhs in New York or Vancouver than in the WHOLE OF SOUTH INDIA.Most people in the 4 South Indian states or Sri Lanka for that matter would not have seen a Sikh face to face.Sikhism originated in NorthWestern India with places like Punjab,Haryana,Lahore/Islamabad(currently in Pakistan) all having had large Sikh populations since the past 4-5 centuries,though the Pakistani & Afghan Sikh populations are close to non-existent.Sikhism has had little or no following in SriLanka.I don't know where you got that from.
The Tamil Tigers are mainly followers of Hinduism,with quiet a few Christians as well.There is little religious about this group & they are more in the radical revolutionary-nationalist mode.The only thing that most T.Ts carry along with them during operations,apart from weapons is a Cyanide capsule.Not a Kirpan.

I don't think you are right. Tamil Tigers wear turbans and cary kirpins the same as Sihks, and are present in India as well as Shri Lanka. I guess they are trouble where ever they go.
??????? Tamils wear turbans? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Tamils are from the extreme south of india/north of Sri Lanka. They don't wear turbans and are mostly Hindus or Christians.
There may well be some ethnic "Tamilese" in the movement, but, Tamil Tigers itelf is a religious group or rather, a terrorist group parading around as a religious group, and dress in traditional Sihk garb or very simular.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! that's funny. The LTTE is basically a kind of commie/racial group that wants Sri Lanka divided into Sinhalese (Aryanic people) and a Tamil (Dravidian people) halves.

This is an opportunity to bring up a particular point. Racism is pointless, stupid and reprehensible. However being anti-Islamic is not to be racist; Islam is a set of ideas which belong to no particular race. If one objects to Islam, one objects to those ideas and what they stand for; it should never be read as a desire to persecute a particular race.
The assault on the Sikh gentleman was an absolute disgrace. I would be happy if they shoved red hot needles under the assailants fingernails.
