Birth Certificate to Say Baby Has 2 Moms Nov 15 4:50 PM US/Eastern
By GEOFF MULVIHILL Associated Press Writer
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.
Two women will be listed as parents on the birth certificate of a baby born this week in New Jersey, one of the first implications of a state Supreme Court ruling that gives same-sex couples access to the same rights as married couples.
The state and the women agreed in a closed family court proceeding Monday, the day before the child was born, that both women should be listed in light of the landmark high court ruling. A judge agreed with the state and the women, lawyers said.
In New Jersey, birth certificates are typically mailed to parents.
Assistant Attorney General Patrick DeAlmeida said the women are the first he knows of to take advantage of new rights granted by the Oct. 25 ruling.
The Burlington County women, who are registered as domestic partners, did not want their names made public, their attorney Stephen Hyland said.
Under state law, the husband of a woman who gives birth through artificial insemination is listed on the birth certificate as the father. No such provision is made for lesbian couples, who often go through lengthy and costly adoptions to give both women equal rights as parents.

The whole Heather Has Two Mommies stuff is moronic. Most kids will be well into adulthood before meeting a two-mother family, if ever.
The whole gay thing was explained to me quite concisely when I was young: Some men prefer the company of other men to women. Some women prefer the company of other women to men. End of story.
I think the whole point of this insanity is the biological infeasibility of two women being accessories to a "birth." It flies in the face of any rational thought.
Nope, but I did expect birth certificates to be factually correct. "2 mommies" for a child? No father? These "innovations" aren't progress. They're a social disaster, based on lies, like these faux "birth certificates."
I went to school in various parts of rural MT, ID, WA and OR. I had a gay teacher's assistant in 1st grade, a gay teacher in 6th grade and a gay math instructor in HS. None of these schools had more than 200 students in all grades combined.
You wage wrong.
The clinic performing the artificial insemination generally demands that the husband of the woman inseminated signs a legal document taking responsibility for the child BEFORE they will proceed with the insemination. That also protects the guy with a bad case of tennis elbow from legal responsibility for his genetic progeny.
Putting the names of two females on a birth certificate is stupid. A DNA test can easily discern the bio mom from the fake "mommy". In many cases, simple observation of the child will show inherited physical similarity to the bio mom that will be absent from the fake "mommy".
Hey, when the Cold War ended I didn't expect to have to keep worrying about idiots trying to blow me up.
I saw the Hercules NYPD's counterterror team the other day. Very badass looking paramilitary guys with machine guns. A group junior high school kids walked by at the same time and didn't even give them a second glance. Guys dressed in black with machine guns out on the street is the world they're used to.
and I shouldn't have commented on the tagline. Maxima Mea Culpa (or is that mea maxima culpa?)
Any gay agenda at work among those guys?

The agenda comes at kids from all angles, not just who they meet in person.

My kids are 10 and 6 years old and don't know any men or women who are confused about their sexuality, nor should they at their age. Our children will be informed when they reach an appropriate age.
From what science tells us, the reason some men prefer men and some women prefer women are due largely to environmental issues. Those environmental issues should be addressed but for many reasons, such as those pushed from the very bogus Kinsey studies, sexual confusion is encouraged instead. I call that profound ignorance of the issues.
The HS math instructor resigned after numerous student complaints of inappropriate touching. Had he been touching girls, he would have been criminally prosecuted.
That enough agenda for you?
Is that all it is to you - a simple shift in mores? I worry about the children who are going to be living with these types. Years down the road, we're going to see the fallout from such unnatural family relationships.
I've been a guest in several households with same sex parents, I don't believe I've seen any of those books on the bookcase -- and I always study the bookcases.
We do agree that gay stuff shouldn't be taught in school.

He should have been fired --

What is particularly disturbing are the strident voices defending this non-stop march of the "gay" agenda doing its best to repeal the laws of nature.
Makes you wonder, don't it ......? He got to keep a nice pension, too.
Last I recall, he'd purchased a restaurant and was um "sheltering" runaway teen boys.
I'm a firm believer in the Andy Carnegie philosophy when it comes to libraries. Build'em the building and let the community decide what goes into it.
