Carville Says Dems Should Dump Dean over “Rumsfeldian” Incompetence

Democratic strategist James Carville says his party should dump Howard Dean as chairman of the Democratic Party because of incompetence.
Carville, during coffee and rolls with political reporters today, said Democrats could have picked up as many as 50 House seats, instead of the nearly 30 they have so far.
The reason they didnt, he said, is the Democratic National Committee did not spend some $6 million it could have put into so-called third tier House races against vulnerable Republicans.
Carville said the other Democratic campaign committees had borrowed to the hilt.
He said he tried to meet with Dean to argue for additional spending for Democrats in the final days of the campaign, but Dean declined and gave no reason why.
Asked by a reporter whether Dean should be dumped, Carville replied, In a word, do I think? Yes.
He added, I think he should be held accountable. He added, I would describe his leadership as Rumsfeldian in its competence.
Carville likened the Democratic takeover of Congress to the civil war battle at Gettysburg, which the Union army won but failed to pursue the Confederate army when it retreated.
We should have chased them down, Carville said. There was no immediate response from Dean or the DNC.

I know that Dean borrowed 5+ million for the campaign. So who knows how deeply in debt the other campaigns are?
Hilliary spent like crazy up in NY, but last I read she still has a sizable war fund for the 08 presidential election.

Is it just me or does She Who Must Not Be Named (Shillary) resemble Shirley Jones? (Oklahoma, Carousel, Partridge Family)
Of course keeping in mind that Shirley Jones is not a lying, thieving murderess.

"Rumsfeldian" incompetence? Nah, I'd call it Albrightian incompetence. That makes more sense.
"Albrightian" incompetence? Nah, I'd call it Carterian incompetence. THAT makes the MOST sense! ;^)

I met both James and Mary in the Orlando airport back in October, and they were very pleasant and friendly. Yes, I shook Carville's hand. ;) And had a nice chat with Mary about her book. Nice people.
That said, James is right. Dean is a fricken loon.

Oh how awful comparing Mrs. Partridge to Shillery. Your addition sentence is ok, but to put sweet Mrs. Partridge even in the same sentence is a travesty. lol.

I liked Carville more when he had the trash can over his head. He never looked better!

And here is the rub, Pelosi has said what she said, what happens when they go all out to try and raise money?
Culture of corruption perhaps?

Keep Dean. We like Dr. "Dimento" Dean just where he is.
Same thing with Murtha. It wouldn't be so bad for us if the Dims choose him for Majority Leader. It will be a short ride.

Well, we don't want these little differences settled quietly. We want hair pulling, blood flying, teeth falling, muscles tearing, entrails goring, skin hanging, organs shredding, lungs filling... And we want it continuously for the next two years. No letup.
We may not be able to stop the Democrats from destroying the American Republic before 2008, but the least they can do is entertain us while doing it.

First they only have HALF of the seats we do in the Senate (up for election 2008). Sorry!!!!
---
By the way, that is not a good thing. More for us to defend just to remain at 49 seats.

Carville is full of crap of course. He and Rahm Emmanuel had the strategy to go after just about 20 "weak" GOP seats, while Dean wanted to spend money like a drunken sailor in every district. They fought him on it. Dean did spend money in stupid places, like Idaho and Wyoming, but he almost won there. Carville is preparing the ground for the Hildabeast period. Dean hates Hillary. Therefore Dean must go. This is ALL about getting Hillary clear sailing to the nomination.
