Like Howard Dean is anywhere near as clear and competent as Donald Rumsfeld.

It seems very "Carvillian" for him to speak like that!

Now it get's interesting. If you read between the lines on the article, the Dems and Dean are broke. Both on the national level and the individual level.
They need to raise money just to pay off Dean's borrowing, and to prepare for the massive 2008 elections. The last President election topped 1 billion in spending, so they are going to have to raise money for that and the Senate races.

I think the Clinton gang figured the GOP would keep control and they could use that as an excuse to dump Dean after the election. Now they may be stuck with him.

I just picture Hillary sitting innocently somewhere, like Michael Corleone in church, while all the old problems are dealt with.

Carville, during coffee and rolls with political reporters today, said Democrats could have picked up as many as 50 House seats, instead of the nearly 30 they have so far. Yeah, Serpenthead - you had NO idea you were going to pick up 2 seats, let alone thirty.
The Clintonites are BAAAAACCCKKK!

I remember Carville making the statement in 2000 that Dems ought to encourage Republican bomb-throwers like Tom Feeney who was then President Pro Tem of the Florida Senate because it would cause a backlash. Feeney inspired the ire of Carville by suggesting that the Florida legislature should clear up the election 2000 confusion by stopping the election recount. Carville apparently thought that Feeney was a very divisive character who would create a backlash against the GOP.
As it happened, though, Feeney's constituents subsequently elected him to Congress, then re-elected him this last time around. It wasn't close.
So Carville's own judgment isn't particularly good, despite the fact that the Clinton flunkies worship him like a god.

"Rumsfeldian" incompetence? Nah, I'd call it Albrightian incompetence. That makes more sense.

I've already seen them re-propping T. McAuliffe back up. Maybe as interim.

He added, I would describe his leadership as Rumsfeldian in its competence. "The swindler who bilked the helpless old people out of their life savings was Carvillian in deviousness..."
"The grifter and shake-down artist was Hillarian in her ability to avoid the authorities..."
"The turncoat was Murthian in his ability to seem like a flag-waving patriot..."
"The hypocrite was Pelosian when it came to the actual facts..."

Keep Dean. We like Dr. "Dimento" Dean just where he is.
Same thing with Murtha. It wouldn't be so bad for us if the Dims choose him for Majority Leader. It will be a short ride.
