"Six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators."

Gee, what a surprise we didn't hear about THAT before the election. I certainly don't recall it. Before the election, it was corrupt Republicans.

Would have been nice if this had come out a couple of weeks ago.

Which "Club Fed" is he going to? Eglin, Maxwell, or Lompoc?

what Abramoff has reportedly described as "six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators."

No way that would have been mentioned in the MSM prior to last Tuesday.

Can we hope that these senators are form states that have Republican Governors?

I recall back when one of Criminal Clinton's promises was to put an end to lobbying --- that was such a laugh, since lobbyists were one of the Clinton's biggest sources of income when he was President (the never-ending nightmare).

So, corrupt lobbying continues, many of the Washington pols JUST LOVE IT as their true source of income, and the American citizen still has to tolerate a corrupt government as a result.

"six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators."

How redundant.

In other news, the new Democratic leaders in Congress have decided that the problem of corruption isn't that widespread, and have decided to drop prosecution...

The problem is that the electorate sort of expects Democrats to be amoral & corrupt. It's a dog-bites-man story to the Media.

...including what Abramoff has reportedly described as "six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators."

This won't be a story - dems always get a pass from the MSM.

What's fun is to hear MSM excuses about why it's not a story... ( when it's a dem).

Same story, but an "R" by the name and it's front page above the fold.

"Abramoff Reports to Prison Tomorrow; Offers Testimony on (corrupt) Democratic Senators"

Does anybody really believe that the vast majority of Senators, both parties, aren't corrupt? To me, "corruption" in the Senate means anybody who places their personal agendas before the will and the general welfare of the majority of Americans, and any Senator who abuses his office to fatten his own bank account and that of his friends. The problem is that most Americans today will happily accept such corruption if their Senators simply work for a few things which they are in agreement on. But Capitol Hill is an armpit of corruption and abuse of power, which I hope and pray will one day be voted into oblivion by the American people, and completely purged from the corruption that passes itself off as "authority". Most of the people running our country today are the sort of miscreants and thieves which our Founding Fathers would certainly prefer to fight against than to work with.

All we need is 1 of those "seriously corrupt Dem Senators" to resign in disgrace (I don't believe it either, they have no shame) and see the power swing back (provided he's replaced with a Rep somehow)
