Yes, they were real beggars. They are the epitome of vulgar.

Well, this sounds to me like dems trying to make something out of nothing. If his friends want to buy them something as a celebration for leaving office and starting their private lives its their business. No one is holding a gun to their head to make them do it. He's served his terms. He's been a good governor and a friend to those of us who homeschool. Now we get to deal the Democrat Beebe who would like nothing better than to do away with homeschooling.

What is only the list?

If very well be reasonable stuff like towels and regular plates.

It may MAY not be obnoxious.

In any case, the list is probably available online ...

I understand your concern for "homeschooling"..

He's still a sitting Gov. and their "friends" could have and should have waited until they left Office to run with this faux wedding registry.

If it was the Clintons, this forum would have exploded by now...

I agree, timing could have been better. He's been a good governor for the state, and I'm still very disappointed about last Tuesday's elections.

One difference between the Huckabees and the Clinton's situation though is that neither are serving in public office, or seeking to. Hillary was running for Senate at the time the Clinton's left office. This seems to me to be a sort of "setting up house" registry, which is what the Huckabees are doing. I'm not sure what registry, other than bridal, that would fall under. But yes, for appearances, they could have waited until they moved out of the Governor's mansion to register.

Huckabee is doing a Star Jones.

Actually, this "tradition" was started by none other than Hillary Clinton when she left the White House, don't you remember?
