I don't know what the GOP is thinking.

It is very sad that the level of desperation and anger have reached such a bottom among some conservatives that they are now going crazy about the Republican whip position in the Senate. May be the next wave of craziness should go for the chief of staff positions for each of the 49 GOP Senators, why not! Really pathetic guys, really pathetic.

Lott wrote in his book I believe, and in interviews that he felt personally betrayed by a bunch of his fellow GOP senators. You figure alot of them are the 24 who voted for Lamar Alexander. This is not a unity decision here. Good thing the dems are doing the same stupid thing in the house #2 race too. We can't be the only retards on the block.

Well he's not prefect. LOL, I used to bash him pretty hard back in the day, but I'll support him this time around and hope for the best.

Just what the Republicans need - uninspiring leadership. Exactly what got Congressional Republicans in trouble in the first place. Repeating past mistakes is no formula for future success.

Mitch McConnell will be excellent as Leader, Lott in my opinion is a step backwards...off a cliff.

Also For all those in the Coastal States of Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida (when they come around) this is a big sigh of relief in many ways. If we can't get the offshore oil Revenue bill passed in this lameduck session the fact that at least a Coastal Senator is in a powerful position gives us a glimmer of hope next session.

I understand that you have a reflexive need to defend any action undertaken by the GOP, but what upsets folks is that this reveals that the GOP Senate has learned little from the drubbing they took last week. Hence the irritation.

Hillary stopped him from throwing Bill out of office. Stop putting in the spineless like Lott. His FBI file is being dusted off by Hillary now.
