THANK you for asking, Conor! It won't alter the size or proportion unless you SPECIFY a different size in the width and height figures. Here's a graphic, and below is the command that includes the width and height. (You can see the dimensions by right-clicking on the image of course) :)

Now, I would like for you to right-click on the image and notice that the graphic I posted IS distorted from the original image (whose correct dimensions are posted below), because I posted it with the height that is NOT in proportion! :)
