Recount eminent in (NC) District 8 race

A recount is eminent in the race for North Carolina’s 8th District seat in the U.S. House, say campaign officials.

But just when that recount will be is still unknown.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Republican Congressman Robin Hayes led grassroots challenger Larry Kissell (D) by 346 votes out of 121,090 ballots cast.

There has to be a better Republican within the 8th District who can run. Robin Hayes nearly lost to a fourth-tier candidate who didn't even have a professional campaign.

Since you're from North Carolina, do any names come to mind?
