The president, vice president, and some Cabinet members met with CEOs of US auto manufacturers. Video and text here.
He also met with Senator Mel Martinez, R-FL, who was recently named to be the new head of the Republican National Committee.
Stocks rallied, the Dow-Jones Industrial Average hit a record high today. The S&P ended at its highest point since November 2000. Oil and gold prices slipped. The NASDAQ ended at its highest point since February 2001.

I hope the weather gets better. It has been really cold these past few nights. During the day its great, but since I really don't see daylight that does not matter. So the chocolate should be ok....

I don't believe that the position of floor walker exists any more. At least not over here. It reminds me of an old Ginger Rogers movie...
Also, only Kate Hepburn wore trousers. Personally, I wear tight pants.
There's a reason for that. I only shop when I'm at my thinnest.

Well, look at it this way. There's a fat epidemic in this country. We're all fat. (Except me, of course)
BUT ....
we are also living a lot longer.
Do the math. Obviously being fat makes you live longer.
Now, I need to go find where I tried to hide that candy from myself.

Terminology what is the difference to an American between trousers and pants?
By the way in Britain trousers are the outer garment pants are underwear eg men boxer shorts or short pants - women throngs or knickers etc.
Floor walkers I think exist in high class department stores still but not much, in everyday stores such as supermarkets you may get a supervisor who wanders around but not a floor walker as such.

I find that I get a liking for some boiled sweets buy a couple of packets and then get fed up with them does not happen with chocolate though.
