I was plenty young when Reagan was president and not really into politics yet..I can remember the MSM and some from his own party putting him down terribly! I can remember conservatives wanting the whole pie and unwilling to 'settle' for anything less. Well, to me, a half of a loaf is better than nothing, and there is no rule that says that you can go back and try to get the rest later.

I hope Milo gets a buddy to take the picture. Those pictures where you hold the cell phone an arm's length away and take your own picture are not generally very good.
Still I think you would like any picture.

I agree but it is a feature of the late 20th and 21st century and as such we have to face it and that is what I suspect partly what this appointment is about.
The left has been very successful in promoting special groups and unfortunately to counter it we have to as well. I hate it and cringe when my own party in Britain go along these line with so called A and B list for new candidates for MPs etc.
I agree that most people are more successful as individuals than collective I hate group work or team work type of things and work much better on my own co-operatng with others but not acting collectively.
Europe as in mainland Europe may have always been this way but Britain certainly has not until very recent times and I think many Brits deep down are not collective beings and may like to belong to same interest groups and do group activities still wish to identified and succeed on there own individual strengths. Unfortunately as I said above the left has eroded a lot of this and we are seeing more and more special interest groups wielding more and more power.

well it's been a trying night...and my job i really don't like doesn't help any. My bones are getting too old to stand on concrete floors 9 hours a day and with the holidays coming, I'll dream of only 9 hour days!

And it's Great Britain and its former colonies that have been the bulwark of liberty these last couple of centuries.
Sad.

What do you do, Jewels? Don't envy the 9 hour standing. I can walk for an hour or more, but standing really bothers me.

Peanut butter cups and kitkats. I still have a lot of Halloween candy. I tried to get stuff I don't like (no peanut butter cups or kitkats) but it still seems to be slowly disappearing. I have no idea where.

I am ready for sleep. have a very busy next few days ahead.
again sorry about pix. I took time to reduce them all & put in sep file & then in haste sent wrong (LARGE) ones..
Had an interesting Josy/Toby walk.. with John & his two dogs & a new friend John & his 7 year old chocolate Lab coco.
Josy kept beating her up & Toby kept mounting her. Needless to say, my pups did NOT make a good first impression & scared the new dog. Johns dogs hardly noticed her.
After a couple hours they did better but were still bad dogs!!! I think I said NO today more to them then the entire time I have had them.... Lots of "spanks" along the way too.
Well, they still love me & hopefully next outing with the others will be better.
night!

Agreed and much comes back IMHO to protecting our borders and making sure that there is not an uneven mix in the population leading to almost mini countries within a large city.
Ethnic groups have always to greater or lesser extent stuck together in the same way as religious groups have been when they become the dominate or larger in number group than the indigenous people that is when unrest and one sees a backlash from the indigenous group.
As with everything a balance is needed and above all those that come need to be integrated and learn the values of the country they are coming to and not try to impose theirs on us.
If I sound racist I make no apologies for it but to say it is not racist but survival of our/my way of life and values.
