"I bet, or should I say hope that the President stops in Iraq or Afghanistan on his return to the US......."

Actually I missed the date, it was 5/06. Months ago. Still it might be helpful.

Thanks for opening Sanity Island for us tonight. Even though there aren't many pictures of the prez, we savor them all!

He has so much on his plate lately. The terrorists from the DIMs are giving him grief here, while the terrorists abroad are killing whomever they want. They are celebrating the DIM win over here! God help our troops and our country!

I totally agree with you about the disappointment in choosing Martinez for RNC instead of Steele. The GOP is trying to pander, and that never works.

"With the Dems in charge, we are all going to need each other more than ever and the President will need our prayers"

I couldn't agree more! . . . [We 'Debs' must stick together!]

Hispanics and Catholics (and the two groups overlap) are never going to vote GOP. The GOP has to stop pandering and go back to principles.

I still love W - am I going to get kicked out for frustration? :-)

I think after January, we will need a prayer chain for W every single night!!! He is going to be attacked by Europe, the democrats, and Iran is ready to blow up anyone close enough, Iraq, Mexico, the UN, some in his own party, North Korea and the loon that runs that 'country', how he even gets out of bed in the morning is beyond me!

I agree with you. The worst part is that the Dem Congress seems to think that they can take over US Foreign Policy from the President. That should give us all chills.

My fondest wish is that Joe Lieberman will end a lot of the worst of the nonsense and switch to the GOP. That would put the Senate in GOP control.
Maybe he should be added to the prayer list.

The only thing we can hope for is that they have something MUCH better for Michael Steele. He is really impressive and I think he has a real future ahead of him (and his commercials were priceless!)

I don't like pandering either, but I think there is more to this than meets the eye. It has more to do with Chavez and Castro then with the illegal situation.

Oops . . . Still here (but just for the moment)!

Actually, 'W' won the Catholic vote in 2004 (the first time ever for a Republican) and garnered over 44% of the Hispanic vote.

If the Republican Party loses the Hispanic vote in the same proportion as the Black vote, we will NEVER win another national election. [BTW: Democrats are also garnering a majority of female voters . . . Do we actually think there are still enough white males of European descent to carry a national election for the GOP (as they did for Reagan and Ike)?! I don't.]

. . . Enough 'shop talk', I plan to spend the next 8 days enjoying photos of the President and First Lady in Asia -- I'm hoping for another photo to add to our 'kiss' collection!

[BTW: As long as you still love and support 'W', you're fine with me . . . I just think that we should focus on the positive for awhile, at least until we can all get back on an even keel emotionally!]

I reqest your prayers for the recovery of our Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas (R). He was relected by a large margin while hospitalized with pneumonia and has now been diagnosed with leukemia.
