Actually, we have won elections on a fiscally conservative agenda. And straying from that is what got the results of last week.

Independents will vote for Rudy in numbers that will more than offset any defections. Rudy is far from perfect, but he's the most viable option I see AT THIS POINT. Things can change.

Let me state categorically for the record that I will never, ever vote for Guiliani. I went and did what I thought I had to earlier this month - voting for Corker just so as to vote against Ford here in Tennessee. But if the Republican Party tries to sell me Rudy, they're flat the hell outa luck.

The DNC is praising with faint damns.

No, they are not scared of him, they are doing what they do. Rudy needs to address his lefty social positions if he wants to gain any position, and he needs to do it soon. If not, he is toast. If he does not know this, he is not worthy of a run.

I just got a really weird idea.....How about instead of nominating a big government, open border, liberal globalist and hoping for the best.....we instead nominate a conservative? On second thought, never mind that would make too much sense.

You all got so horse whipped this last election it is sad. You need to use some common sense. Hillary is one of the most despised politicians in the country. Her negative numbers are through the roof. Her lovable, cuddly, handsome, next best thing to sliced bread husband could NEVER GET OVER 49%. She doesn't have a chance unless we play right into her trap and split the conservative vote like in '92. With Guiliani and some conservatives split on abortion, gays, borders, NAFTA, CAFTA, China, UN, the NAFTA superhighway and guns there will be plenty of people who will vote 3rd party.

I'm personally scared s-less of Evan Bayh. I honestly think a guy like that would be unbeatable regardless of who the Republican nominee is.

He is a dead fish.

He voted AGAINST
John Roberts, Chief Justice
Samuel Alito, Associate Justice
John Bolton, Ambassador to UN
Janice R Brown, US Circuit Court
Michael Hayden CIA
William H. Pryor, Jr., US Circuit Judge
Priscilla R. Owen, US Circuit Judge
Alberto R. Gonzales, for Attorney General

So THIS is supposed to be a MODERATE?

Jim Webb was a Republican for a long time. Are they now going to kick him out of the Senate?

I'm unlikely to vote for Guiliani in a Republican primary, opting for a more conservative candidate. However, IF he were the Republican nominee and faced Hillary in the general election, then I have NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER voting for him to save this country from another round of Clinton. Some of these "Suicide Conservatives" who oppose Rudy or McCain at ALL COSTS will get all of us pinched.

Panic has already set in. And we're two years away. (But this just goes to show, the smear machine will never sleep until a Democrat is in the White House.)

Hey, if you're a mayor, is this such a bad comment? I'd say the same thing.

Giuliani Said It Would Be a "Good Thing" If the Poor Left the City; Said That Was His Welfare Strategy.
