Tuesday Afternoon Good News...
GONE WITH THE WIND - 2006
"There was a land of Publishers and Editors called the Newspaper Business... Here in this pretty world Journalism took its last bow... Here was the last ever to be seen of Reporters and their Enablers, of Anonymous Sources and of Stringers... Look for it only in books, for it is no more than a dream remembered. A Civilization Gone With the Wind..."
With apologies to Margaret Mitchell...

Q: Do you know how to make a small fortune in the newspaper business?
A: Start with a large one.

Personally, I support unionization of the media. It's just about the only place I think it might actually help.

The Arizona Republic called me this week to ask if I would like to subscribe at a special low rate. Maybe they were trying to build up enough customers to prevent the layoffs? I told the caller that I would NEVER EVER purchase a newspaper that openly supports illegal immigration... Dead silence on the phone until I asked if she was still there. She politely ended the call and I hope she told her superiors what my response was.

I love my calling. But I think I'm starting to hate this business.
Get in line.

Funny thing is that this is an area booming with new residents and still they are shrinking. GOOD.

Funnies thing, newspapers have no defenders now. They have insulted, lied to and alienated the most educated that use to read, enjoy and buy them. Theyve worked for years to tear down this country, dont think Ill raise a stink or a finger to save them.
