Giuliani has been carefully preparing for this moment. He spent the past election season accumulating a reservoir of good will among Republicans, campaigning hard for Republican candidates from Oregon to New Hampshire. He was particularly adept at raising money for those candidates and has established himself as one of few presidential hopefuls capable of raising the $100 million or so that is seen as necessary to win the White House. At the moment, he is getting help from Anne Dickerson, who ran President Bushs highly successful Pioneer and Ranger fundraising machine in 2004.
Giuliani has allied closely with Bush & Co. He made a high profile speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention and has gone on the road to stump with President Bush. There has also been speculation, started by the Washington Post's Kathleen Parker, that Ken Mehlman, the outgoing Republican National Committee chairman and former Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign manager, will be joining the Giuliani camp.

Opps, I just read your post to me more carefully. No I have not. I don't think she'd be very receptive to it. Baby steps. I have a 2 years to change her mind and I'm going to need every second of it to be sucessful.
You are 1,000% right!
This coming from a guy named "Lenin" who supports a gun-grabbing, cross-dressing, homosexual agenda cheerleading, partial birth abortion advocating, illegal immigrant loving, liberal pervert from new york city.
Giuliani rejected the $10M because the Saudi offered it with the suggestion that U.S. policies in the Middle East contributed to the September 11 attacks.
In other words, the US deserved the attack.
Do you agree?

That oil prince tried to lecture America about how 9/11 was our fault due to our foreign policy while handing Rudy a Check for $10 million dollars! Yea he offered to help with one hand and put a knife in our back with the other. PULEEESE! Rudy was right!
You make resonable points, but I would add there is considerable evidence that the Saudi's are giving money to terrorists. That, of course, is a whole other thread.
Why? Well it could be that he is FAR AND AWAY the most intelligent, articulate, and best leader on the horizon. The nomination will be extremely difficult to keep away from Rudy.
Those appalled by the prospect throw up names they prefer who do not have the slightest chance of getting nominated.
It is laughable to see the alternatives or sad depending on the viewpoint.
When I see Rudi Giulianni, I see my high fuel bills and the faces of dead soldiers. I can say with absolute certainty that I will not vote for him.
Sean Hannity is discussing this right now... seems the dems are using our thread as talking points already.
He is a Saudi prince who supports anti-Semitic, anti-American , pro-Jihad media and gave millions to Carter Center in the presence of Representatives Conyers (D-MI) and Rahall (D-WV).
If I see your posts in the future, I will see a steaming pile.
That would be an interesting ticket. Though you are going to have people saying Steele is a RINO.
So, perhaps I should have written:
"Libertarians: We stand for 20% of the Republican platform."
maybe:
"Libertarians: We'd like to be conservatives but our anti-drug war, pro-abortion, isolationist views prevent us from doing so."
would have better?
Then there's,
"Libertarians: Shoot like a redneck but smoke dope like a hippie."
I believe in truth in advertising. You seem to be against it.
Even with on Rudy as an opponent your potential candidates have:
1- slight chance
2 NO chance
3 very small chance
4 small chance
5 No chance
None of these would stand a chance against Rudy. Romney and McCain are the only credible alternatives to him.
Thanks for the clarification, it squares with what I remembered..

As for the 2nd amendment, I have no problems leaving that to the States. And since Rudy has already stated that Scalia would be his choice of an excellent Chief Justice, I am not worried there.
I hope that we have a healthy, wide open primary, and the best will emerge. I am probably a little more tolerant of moderates when it comes to Presidential candidates, than House and Senate. After all it is not (nor should it ever be) the Presidents job to write our laws. We have a separation of power for that reason. The Presidents job is to Protect the United States of America. That is all Americans, not just the Dems or the Repubs.
Good joke.
Good joke.
Do you think so? From what I've read, Michael Steele is a conservative. He is also articulate and isn't afraid to take on the media, which is what we need!
My thinking is that he would be a more right of center counter balance to Rudy.
Plus if he could garner 44-45% of the vote in Maryland this year, he did a great job.
I'd love to see the pairing. What can Hillabeast do to counter it? Have another woman as VP? Maybe Bill Richardson or Obama?
I really believe Rudy/Mike would be a winner
