IAEA: Unexplained Plutonium, Enriched Uranium Traces Found in Iran
VIENNA, Austria Experts from the have found unexplained and traces in a nuclear waste facility in Iran and have asked Tehran for an explanation, an IAEA report said Tuesday.
The report, prepared for next week's meeting of the 35-nation IAEA, also faulted Tehran for not cooperating with the agency's attempts to investigate suspicious aspects of Iran's nuclear program that have lead to fears it might be interested in developing nuclear arms.
The four-page report made available to The Associated Press also confirmed that Iran has continued uranium enrichment experiments in defiance of the U.N. Security Council.
could this be because the rat patrol is soon to be in power?????? Everything is falling from the sky with a vote or two aye?????
No, it might not have made a difference by itself - it was just one of the insurance dots on the dems' drawing board.
I agree with you 100% that our choices appear to be massive military action or acceptance of a nuclear Iran. Unfortunately, I have come to believe that W. does not have the political will to attack Iran without a large majority of American opinion behind him, nor does he have the persuasive skills to end-run a mostly hostile media and convince the people. I think we're now mostly on the defense with Islamofascism. I will be very happy to be proved wrong.
Well, we are dealing with the motley bunch of Hans Blix and Mohammed el-Baradei.
timeline ping
We didn't. Bush knew/knows that both Iraq and Iran needed taking care of.
Of the two, Iraq was easier, and also an easier sell. By taking Iraq (and Afghanistan), we put ourselves in an enormously advantageous position with respect to Iran. Moreover, it puts us between Syria and Iran.
Iran is rubbing in our nose Nuclear capabilities and we turn our backs.
We're not "turning our backs." Part of the strategy has to be that the EU finally gets onboard with taking care of Iran. This sort of thing takes a long time, as it's necessary to force the issue "just enough" without getting in too quickly. I think Iran will probably try to move faster now that the election is over, and their "friends" are in control of Congress. That's actually probably to our advantage.
We should be fair and give Iran more nuclear material...like the stuff we have sitting in our Trident missiles...yes, there's plenty of nuclear material for Iran!
Good grief!
Thank you for the ping!
Pelosi, Rangel, Schumer, Kennedy, Durbin, et al: It was all true. Welcome to the party...
But it worked for Ike.
Yes, we can be sure that the UN weasels are taking this problem very seriously..... they want to make Lincoln Chaffey the new Special Advisor to the IAEA because he is out of a job and they know what a tough-minded defender of freedom he is......
I agree with what you have said --- and I'm just sorry that Republicans didn't/don't talk that talk!!
No, silly, it is for the warp drive on their new space ship...sheesh, every school kids knows that one!
Nice how this was kept under wraps until precisely one week after the election. I'm sure that's just happenstance. /sarcasm
Are they contaminating their country? That would be too bad if they make their night fighters and missile smugglers glow in the dark.
