No surprise. RINO Central at NRO still learned NOTHING from last Tuesday. When the going gets tough you send for your sons of a bitches, not your Establishment Lapdogs.

Human Events isnt entirely correct about this.
They need to read the speech made by Roy Blunt last Thursday.
I agree with Pence, but we need to consider what the whip's job is and how Shadegg is quite frankly, in experienced at it when we need it most.
To: Reagan Man
Pence seems pretty cool -- don't know much about the other guy. Current guys have to go.

I'm confident, John Shadegg is very capable of getting up to speed real quick.
Remember Bob Michel? Well, Shadegg is no Michel. LOL

Enumerated Powers Act
That would be great. Original intent/original meaning. Wonder who thought of that? ;^)

John Shadegg is perfect for the job. He's tough, personable, conservative, and would look really GREAT on TV. That's what we need, people who will get out there and defend conservative values in a smart and articulate way.

Everybody get involved and call every Republican Congressman in your state on this. Otherwise you won't have any right to bitch when a bunch of RINOS run the show and get in bed with the Dems to sell us all down the river.

Agreed.
For now, however, seems like many FReepers are still in shock over the election outcome.

Wow, I like that idea. It would keep the rest of the critters too busy trying to figure out how to excuse their big government garbage to actually do anything!
To: Reagan Man
Not me. Everbody quit crying in their beer and get over it. That crap won't get us anywhere. We lost. We deserved it to a large extent. Now it's time to move forward, find new leaders, and do something constructive.

It seems pretty apparent that the Republicans need to re-energize themselves as conservatives, or just throw in the towel for 2008.
Pence and Shadegg offer a revolutionary reinvigoration.

Bush doubles the size of the Dept of Education, when the Contract with America wanted to get rid of it altogether.
It's time for some Blunt talk: "Roy, get lost!"

John Shadegg has sponsored a very insightful bill to help cut the cost of health care insurance. This kind of legislation puts everyone to the test, DO YOU REALLY WANT LESS GOVERNMENT THEN SUPPORT THIS BILL"...
This article goes over the benefits of HR 2355.
Article by the Heritage Foundation
The Health Care Choice Act: Eliminating Barriers to Personal Freedom and Market Competition
The Health Care Choice Act (H.R. 2355 and S.1015), sponsored by Representative John Shadegg (R-AZ) and Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC), would amend current law to allow for interstate commerce in health insurance plans while preserving states primary responsibility for the regulation of health insurance. These changes would broaden and intensify competition among health plans and medical providers, encourage a serious review of existing health care regulation in the states, and expand the choice of millions of Americans of more affordable health insurance plans. The result: reduced health care costs and greater access to health care coverage.
