Trouble is, I'm not sure the people are going to listen to him over the incessant drumbeat of the MSM. Like it or not, the majority of the sheeple still get their news from "traditional" sources. Yes, they're going to say what they say, which is always hostile to conservatives, especially George Bush. With the overhang of an unpopular war, I'm not sure Bush will receive any kind of fair hearing among the masses.

What to do, then? Well, like an earlier poster suggested, go for someone with a bit of a "stealth" record, but hopefully with private assurances that they will toe a more constructionist line once on the court. The danger there, of course, is that the 'Rats, led by UpChuckie, will insist on an abortion litmus test (funny how litmus tests are okay when imposed by 'Rats, but are the Devil's Own Work when suggested by 'Pubs) for anyone hauled up in front of the Senate. So nominees will be forced to either be evasive (in which case they'll be borked), lie, or renounce their beliefs. That is the scenario the 'Rats are framing.

Who cares? I am not really in favor of this stealth business. Its like we are embarassed to have someone conservative. Tired of it. Let them turn down conservative women and catholics and all sorts over and over.
