If my dad can get another old laptop from work... ROFL

And who asked you for your opinion?

It's not like Iggle could get a malfunctioning laptop to work either.
That's why they promoted him.
LMFAO

Most of the time, I run KDE--though a few times, I run XFCE (which is small and IMHO rather slick)
Each one has its purposes, I guess.

I use Ubuntu Linux and PC BSD. Microsoft has no place in this house. Nor will any Microsoft distro.
ALL YOUR DISTROS ARE BELONG TO US!!!

Well they do tend to promote people to the level of their incompetence.
If he does actually do what he says he does for a job, it makes perfect sense.

Whatever, just because you maintain the "Jim Rome Ping List" does NOT mean you actually know anything about computers, LMAO. I remember the first time you showed up and tried to claim you were the network admin, but then admitted you didn't even have the password. Classic!

What type of chipset does your wifi card use? If you don't know, enter "lspci -v" at a command prompt. It will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about what hardware you have.

Linux is free to those whose wallet remains sealed.
The learning curve for any alternative is at least HUGE.

I find it to be absolutely astounding that some people still have the gall to make that kind of a claim after we see thread after thread of people whose MS-Windows is completely borked because they've been infected with some spyware/trojan/worm dejure. You then see people chiming in with,
"well you need 'ABC anti-spyware', 'DEF personal firewall', 'antivirus GHI', and 'HIJ spyware cleaner' to get what ABC misses. Remember to run these regularly, and keep them updated. Blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, sure. Linux and OSX users, who don't have to deal with any of that crap on a continual, ongoing basis are really having their time wasted.

What the hell does THAT have anything to do with knowing anything about computers? You sure as hell talk about computers a lot, yet you don't know jack about them.

LOL!!!! And as with most everything else you claim to know, you're wrong here too.
Run along Iggle, you're boring everyone again.

There. Fixed it...

exactly.....
Iggle is just plain damn dumb is what it comes down too.
He doesn't know what he's talking about.
And what's worse, if he is who he says he is, his ideas about how a network should be run are actually implemented.
Scary huh?
