Linux is only free to those whose time is worth nothing.

Please!!!! LOL!!!!

I find it to be absolutely astounding that some people still have the gall to make that kind of a claim after we see thread after thread of people whose MS-Windows is completely borked because they've been infected with some spyware/trojan/worm dejure. You then see people chiming in with,

"well you need 'ABC anti-spyware', 'DEF personal firewall', 'antivirus GHI', and 'HIJ spyware cleaner' to get what ABC misses. Remember to run these regularly, and keep them updated. Blah, blah, blah.

Yeah, sure. Linux and OSX users, who don't have to deal with any of that crap on a continual, ongoing basis are really having their time wasted.

exactly.....

Iggle is just plain damn dumb is what it comes down too.

He doesn't know what he's talking about.

And what's worse, if he is who he says he is, his ideas about how a network should be run are actually implemented.

Scary huh?

Well most normal people blame hackers for viruses and worms, not the victims. The Linux crowd always wants to blame everyone but the hackers though, which is more interesting.

OSX

Great software, which is why it isn't free.

I've been using Windows since version 2 and I have never had a virus, trojan or worm. Anyone stupid enough to get them is way too dumb to run Linux.

Any clues how to get my Fedora machine to talk to the printer on my XP machine on a giant university network with Linux, Unix and Windows servers? I have about 120 hours into it so far with no luck. Even the university IT staff can't figure it out. The Linux box can't see the printer even though all of the Windows machines have no trouble sharing.

Hell, I even print over the VPN and the cable at home.

The way I see it, it looks like the fellow meant that, to figure out Linux OS, it will take quiet some time to figure it out and make it happened! More so versus installing MS windows mind you!

It is there fore safe to say that it take a whole lot more time and knowledge to install and run Linux than your regular Joe Six pack installing and running Windows OS!
