The tears didn't fall until Mitch McConnell started telling Rick good bye...
UGH...that nasty Lincoln Chafee is in the big chair...
Well..Rick---there is an example of a NOT great Senator or friend.
I swear, Lincoln Chaffee is as petty as he is dumb.
I keep reading about all of these people...even foreigners that lament the resignation of Bolton...
Can he possibly even realize how much damage he could have caused??
I know most freepers don't think the UN is worthy of us getting upset about the Bolton thing...but, to me---he was one of the few, best PR moves that Pres. Bush has made because he DOES speak his mind..and he has the access to a microphone.
What is going to be next?? Are the WH press corps going to get together and complain that Tony isn't "respectful" enough..or doesn't give enough information...so they want him run out of town, too??
This is not a good time for us...for me...too many good people leaving Washington, IMHO>
Leaving or being shoved out...it's the patriots they want to get rid of.
LOL..there is a new thread with the title..."Mark Dayton leaves Washington disappointed"...
and HE left voluntarily!!!
Lotsa class, those dems.
Did you hear Dayton. Just one long whine.
I heard him for a few minutes...but turned him off.
I didn't hear anything different from him than I have heard for the last few years.
Okay..now that the dems have "won"...their new kick is to complain about what didn't happen when the GOP had control..
Nancy Pelosi called the GOP lead Congress "drive by legislating"...and a few of the floor speeches were complaints about what didn't get done.
Of course, no one on the GOP side have said that part of that is the obstruction tactics of the GOP....and I don't know whose idea of so much time off was...but, I do remember Harry Reid getting up on the Senate floor nagging Frist to do this or that, so his Senators could leave on Thursday.
I saw a clip of Conrad Burns giving his farewell speech...and his theme was "turn off the cameras in the Senate"...saying how much more camaraderie there is when the cameras aren't on...and how much better they worked..blab blah.
Well, surely that won't happen, because Harry and Nancy have promised us the most ethical, most open and transparent Congress in history.
Therefore, they need to put cameras in their offices, so we can see the wheeling and dealing that is ACTUALLY what makes for legislative work in Congress.
LOL. Wouldn't that be a treat. Of course, you wouldn't actually be able to see any of them as they would be surrounded by lobbyists.
Would you please put me on the Senate ping list? Thanks.
I will see that it is done...thanks!
