We do have bigger fish to fry, but this sort of thing provides the breading for said fish.
It's not just that commercial, it's nearly any movie you see at the theater nowadays; the white people are criminals and the minorities are victimized--still flawed--but victimized. CEOs and business people are portrayed as corrupt and murderous. Some recent examples are Inside Man, Collateral Damage, Flight Plan and the list goes on. The only place you see minorities with a negative image is on Cops--and that's real-life.
However this little vignette is indicative of a much larger problem; one that very well may hasten the death of our entire culture. We should address it now.
So what would they do if they had a black kid from Africa in his school uniform stare down a wanna be punk fatherless inner city african american youth with his underwear hanging out, gold chains and his ballcap on crooked?
Honestly who cares who did what in a commercial??
