It wasn't one particular thing, it was a "death by a thousand cuts." Limbaugh was just another straw, along with Foley, Katrina, Iraq, etc. There were not enough GOP "wins" to overcome all of that.

False premise......there is nothing in the scientific research to indicate a single area where embryonic stem cell research is going to assist in a cure of any disease.

the writer of that article is full of BS and a partisan HACK. Rush did not attack Fox, in fact Fox admitted in his book about altering his meds to fit the occasion. Rush railed only against the callous political hacks who used Foxs affliction, and LIED about the Bill, to fit their GREEDY POLITICAL purposes. LIAR LIAR LIBERAL LIAR

Limbaugh decided to attack not Fox's views, but his sincerity. "He is exaggerating the effects of the disease," Limbaugh claimed concerning Fox's tremors in TV ads. "He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act." Not only did Limbaugh claim that the hugely popular and tragically afflicted actor was faking his tremors, he actually stooped to lampooning and imitating Fox's uncontrollable spasms. If the author of this has ever listened to Rush, he clearly missed the 15 hours or so that Rush spent discussing this on his program.
Bzzzzzzzzt, wrong,.... next!

IMHO, Rush is no more to blame for Missouri for his remarks about Michael J. Fox than Allen is to blame for "macaca." Hear me out.
Granted, both were missteps. But that's the problem for our side. We can't have any missteps.
What happened to Rush and what happened to Allen is that they stumbled and the rats pounced.
FWIW, I don't believe Rush was mocking MJFox. And I don't believe Allen was uttering a racist slur.
But we were subjected to story after story from the Main Scream Media and the faux outrage of the left. They were simply relentless and we never recovered.
We have to realize two things:
1) Our candidates and our leaders aren't perfect, they're gonna make mistakes, and
2) Until we are willing to fight back as tirelessly and relentlessly as the RATS, they're going to keep winning.
The reality is that we have to be better, more focused and more relentless.
And this time we simply weren't.

You were down 15 points on the Cloning amemdntment. Rush brought the Anti Cloning side with in two points of wining. If you want to see who cost us this election, look in the mirror.
The Savagebots who spend ALL their time savaging their own side rather then attacking the Democrats on ANYTHING are to blame for this mess. Now they want to run around pointing fingers of blame at everyone else. They should be pointing at themselves.

Yeah, right. Rush Limbaugh is responsible for the GOP election defeat. Good thinking. In future, we'll all just roll over when Democrats demagogue and falsify scientific issues. Let's just accept AlGore as our (over)lord and savior on Global Warming. Michael J. Fox is clearly qualified as a biochemist and medical researcher, so when they run commercials on his opinions, let's just accept them. No more questions, no more skepticism.
Pure drivel.

Blaming Rush Limbaugh? ROFLMAO! You have to be pretty pathetic to blame the force behind the Conservative Revolution. The Party and it's Leadership have no one to blame but themselves. Rush didn't make policy, create spending bills, make war decisions and on and on. Let me state for the record that "Compassionate Conservatism" sucks the big one, and it's a code word for demoncrat lite. Thanks you for nothing President Bush and GOP.

Putting blame on Rush for this election outcome is a weakly amateurish bash job from someone who cannot face the real problem amongst the Repubs.
Rush will always be a target for those that cannot deal with reality.

Whoever this writer of this article is, prolly hasn't listened to Rush only once or twice in his/her whole life.
Rush wasn't the cause of the Republicans loosing the House and Senate...Rush is powerful, but come on, he's not God, (even sometimes he thinks he is)..lol...
This whole article is Rat Patrol crap and I don't believe a word of it....I will stand up for Rush anytime of the day....I have listened to him since he started In San Francisco and the only thing Rush has done is gotten better...like fine wine, aged to perfection....
