Reason Magazine Blogger Finds Pleasure in Tears of Rick Santorum's 8-year-old Daughter
Because the libertarian universe has no place for the vulnerable, weak, or the dependent--since none are autonomous adult-choosers in search of virtual kiddie porn--it has no qualms in providing a forum in which children and their families can be verbally abused and have profanities hurled at them. Read and weep Julian Sanchez's "Your Tears Are So Yummy and Sweet" in which the writer says he finds joy in the tears of Rick Santorum's eight-year-old daughter, who is pictured crying next to her father as he gives his concession speech on Tuesday night, November 7. Most of the comments that follow celebrate and contribute to Mr. Sanchez's meanness. In fact, one commentator, named Jon H., makes sarcastic reference to the Santorums' newborn child who died in 1996. ~ Posted by Francis J. Beckwith at 11:25 PM

Man, I haven't taken this much pleasure in the suffering of a small child in days.

the point of all this is that "libertarians" don't seem to have much compassion for little children because it is all ABOUT THEM - and nobody else. They are not libertarians - they are LIBERTINES.
I'm just trying to make sense of some of what I am able to get to to read, is all! I get really wordy. But eventually I do get it. Thanks for your kind and steady helpfulness. Believe me, I need it!
Like I had to put that in print, right?

Oh, please. The Fed govt spends almost one million dollars per year per citizen. That's insane.
You true believers are really easy marks.
If you want me to listen to you and take you seriously, then please a) speak to me with genuine respect, b) back up your points/positions with some verifiable facts, and c) refrain from nasty labeling, i.e., "...true believers..."
The kind of post you place here at my disposal is a reflection of you; afterall, you posted it.
I respectfully ask you to follow the above criteria used in educated and polite society or expect to be ignored by me. That is precisely what will occur should you expose yourself to me in this manner again. I will do my best to be respectful of and to you and your convictions. I expect the same courtesy from you.
