McCain's base is the DBM and they've just proved that they can get almost anyone they want elected. He's playing to them as he always has. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see he and Lieberman take a run at the White House as an independent "unity ticket" together.
I would be amazed if that happened at the end of the day IMHO Liebermann and McCain are not politically close on many issues apart from certain aspects of the WOT.
Also I cannot see McCain leaving the Republican party - just my opinion but I do not see it happening as when push comes to shove he does support his party maybe too little and too late for some.
McCain is a gullible idiot. The media will turn on him were he to ever get the nomination and bury him. He has almost as much baggage as Hillary does. Plus, he's a walking time bomb in my opinion. Something, someday, is going to set him off and we'll have our own version of Howard Dean.
I have been watching and listening to McCain, not so much for what he says...but how he is talking.
He just seems weak, physically, to me....he seems to have a hard time talking longer than a sentence or two, without being rather breathless.
I am beginning to wonder if he physically will be able to handle the campaign..let alone the JOB of POTUS.
