Hey Bah...those sad, sad times start tomorrow.
Both the House and the Senate are back in session.
I would how excited Frist and Boehner are to see the Dems strut into the chambers tomorrow???
The problem is the Hispanic vote...and Soros.
Soros financed all of those hugh protests this last summer by the illegals demanding their "rights".
Re: President Bush's reasoning on immigration...business probably...but, he has been consistent since he came into office...he hasn't wavered in his stance. ( I know that doesn't make you or a lot of us happy..but it is true).
BuyBlue.org supports businesses that share our progressive values and ideals. We believe in a triple bottom line: people, planet and profit. BuyBlue.org uses our power as consumers to vote with our wallets, supporting businesses that abide by sustainability, workers' rights, environmental standards, and corporate transparency. At the same time, BuyBlue.org focuses sharply on businesses that violate the essential values of a sustainable, fair and profitable society through their policies and the politicians they support.
Vision Statement
BuyBlue.org will become a powerful tool used by a community of millions. We will form strong coalitions with stockholders, shareholders, corporations, small businesses and communities which share our values to gain strength through numbers. We will influence the political landscape, stimulate economic growth among participating businesses and industries and use the American dollar as an incentive for corporate transparency and responsibility.

I do not know how current this list is, but it's a darn good place start = TO AVOID these companies who contribute to the Rats, because chances are they're sponsors as well, and support those who support US:
Print it out ... keep it in your car for shopping, at home for noting TV/radio show sponsors.
Hey ! Hersey's and McDonald's supports US! YAY .......... stock up on chocolate and McMeals .. ;)
Good grief, this is depressing. Are they an offshoot of Moveon.org? Their board seems pretty young.
samantha is one of the more intelligent posters we have on this thread, week in and week out.
I think you were very rude to her...and we try to keep that to a minimum on this thread...it is a very busy, popular thread...so, personal attacks are not too welcome.
It is possible to disagree with someones opinion without attacking the poster.
My only complaint is you lumped the immigration debacle in with Harriet Miers. It deserves it's own large, large paragraph. Bush did "lead" on it, and to be fair, a fair number of Republicans went along, especially in the Senate. But he led in precisely the wrong direction.
This should have been the winning issue in this campaign, trumping all others, even "Iraq". Instead, the confusion and failure made the Republicans out as the Go-along/Get-along Party with a tin ear concerning what the public strongly demands. Not wants, demands! Over 80% want the Borders closed to illegals, now. It is killing our country and everybody knows it. Strongly solving it (and not in the favor of these foreign invaders) is overwhelmingly in the best interests of our country and yet the issue was been demagogued in the other direction and panned as a triviality.
Huge numbers of voters felt dissed and betrayed by Bush, the Republican Senate, the viciously lying MSM, and anti-American Democrats as they all gleefully sprung their elitist trap on the average, fed-up American who was bewildered that almost nobody (except Congress) bothered to pay attention to their anguish plight.
With Bill Sammon gone from Washington Times I see that Tony Blankley has gone beltway!
We have only a slight voice in the NY Sun and their paper is filled with articles from AP.
A pox on all those America haters.
Whatever you want to call what Reagan did...it set the precedent here...but more importantly in Mexico, and elsewhere.
Don't you think that the Mexican government...and the terrorists didn't take notice??
I think President Bush is taking the blame for not fixing something that has been festering for a very long time.
He was right a long long time ago. It was all about borders culture and language. Others stole his mantra and he got all the crazier and crazier as time went on.
WHO-HOO....that is welcome news, STARWISE!
I am particularly glad to see the US Postal Service on that list...since my husband works for them...
We would have gained a 50-50 split...with Dick Cheney the tie-breaker....at least conceptually...in truth, there are way too many RINOS in the Senate to expect that Cheney would have had to vote very often...
Exactly right.
All ready pretty much ready to drop kicked my radio to the curb. I am simply sick of everyone looking for someone else to scapegoat for Tuesday.
Simply amazing that the same supposedly "Conservative" politicians and media types that served as the Democrat Party Water Carriers for the last 2 years NOW want to posture as if THEY had nothing at all to do with causing Tuesday and it is EVERYONE else fault but theirs. ENOUGH all ready.
So it will take me a couple of days to work thru the thread. If ever their were people who needed a beat down it is the Always Angry clique of the Conservative Movement.
Frankly people got NO clue that this is not just a time out. It is entirely probably the Republicans will now spend an extended period out of power. Those primarily rural districts the GOP flipped in 1994 just ran back to their traditional home turf the Democrat party. Give the power of incumbency and CFR, there is NO guarantee we will not spend another 40 years out of power now.
I am not going to get thru this for a couple of days so look for the Top Ten Tuesday. Sorry but it has been a very long, very bad week and there are not many people outside of Freepers I am liking right now.
This may be a long bloody road back and it did not have to be if our "Conservative" pundits, the McCain types and their sheep like followers had even a small smidgen of party discipline. You will NEVER see the Dems go thru this kind of petulant childish "100% or Nothing" nonsense. They know enough to keep their dirty laundry out of the papers. Well our Always Angry types got us NOTHING. I hope they enjoy it.
That is too bad about Negron...and his Cuban heritage, especially since Ilena Ros-Lehtinen often refers to her heritage..and does mention, often, that she is a Cuban immigrant.
I guess in some parts of Florida it is more of a handicap than others??
If her post was an example of intelligent discourse, we're in big trouble!
To quote an excerpt:
"The Buchananites have divided America on this issue and they have divided my small Community. It came down to Prejudiced Hardliners wanting the Legals and Illegals deported. Most of us realize that being pragmatic and not hateful is the way to go, but that does not suit the haters, they have been pumped up into a frenzy where they do not know the difference anymore between illegal and legal as long as they speak with an accent, they want them gone. Because of the Ingrahams,Buchanans,Hannity's,Boortz's, etc, that wall that we all want will probably not get funded with the rats in charge. Way to go you idiots......"
Also this memorial is Ashford not the whole of Kent there are Memorials in most towns and villages all over the country so I would think it represents people who have died over the years and families are still around.
Lib is as lib does, so you know when they look for $$, Soros, and all the lib spider elements in the their anti-American web will be happy to support them.
BTW, I've had an IRA with American Century Investors for years .. NO MORE .. and they were a solid financial investment.
The Stowers Family of Missouri owns them, and contributed over $29+M to the embryonic stem cell/cloning iniative that won. The Stowers also stand to reap gajillions, if and when that program attracts the "scientists" who are drawn to their medical center to do "medical research" and propel companies forward to capitalize on this travesty.
I moved into cash on Friday, and am researching other investment companies for transfer, but they'll not have my dollars to play with any longer, paltry as it is. And I'll let them know exactly why I'm rolling it out of their company, in NO uncertain terms.
