There is no doubt that Bush has been pushing for a guest worker program for years and it should come as no surprise. It was part of his 2000 campaign. What boggles my mind is that he is bucking his own party undermining its position in the process. He is also bucking American public opinion.

We'll end up with a 20 ft long picket fence.

PT Barnum was correct, there is a sucker born every minute, especially those who believed Louie Dobbs.Dane, you and those of your stripe, Bush, Rove, etc. did more to damage the republican party by driving out every conservative you could than Lou Dobbs ever could have. You keep saying he's a liar...WHAT has he lied about? Your problem is your extreme hate for ANYONE who wants to secure our borders. And everyone but you and your 2 cheerleaders seems to know it.

If we lived in a democracy lou dobbs would have been going after the dems non stop during the election how they wouldn't fund the fence. I challenged you on a another thread when you called Dobbs a liar. You didn't respond, but here you are spreading your propaganda yet again. Lou Dobbs has gone ofter the dems non stop over immigration and has done more to bring this problem to light than anyone. I think that is what disturbs you.
Again, all his words are in transcript. PROVE YOUR ACCUSATIONS.

It certainly wasn't Dobbs fault that the dems decided at the last minute to claim support for secure borders!
DOBBS: But it is instructive that people running for office at least -- while in office, they're ignoring the will of the people on this issue because poll after poll shows people want border security, they want port security, they want illegal immigration curtailed -- it's fascinating to see that Eighth District race in Arizona, where the Democratic candidate, who says she absolutely in support of comprehensive immigration reform -- is now talking about border security. It's quite an impressive turnaround, and it shows the importance of this issue in this election. SCHNEIDER: And we're finding all over the country that Democrats are taking a very hard line on the issue of border security, if they feel at all defensive on this issue, and they do in many places.

Yes, Lou Dobbs is a jackass. Yes, voting Donkey was stupid. But lets not forget that our own Elephant team had SIX YEARS to fix the horrible situation and did nothing until a few weeks before this election when they realized they were probably going to lose.
Oh, and lets not forget El Presidente Jorge Arabusto and his support for open borders.

This is from an article that I just read by George Putnam...
Got a link?
Please post if you do; thanks.
I used to listen to George on KIEV in Los Angeles. Too bad they
let him go when they overhauled that station (and overall improved it).

On Thursday, Tony Snow did an
interview with pro-amnesty Hugh Hewitt and the former stated that "more than a hundred miles" of fence will be built by the time Bush is out. The discussion on the fence is about half-way down the page.

"I think there must be an agreement whereby the Democrats rule the roost and the "moderate" Republicans look out for big business and screw the taxpayer. That way, all the big government types -- Republican and Democrat -- get what they want."
Expect to see something similar coming our way on healthcare as well; medicare, medicaid, tri-care, CHIPS, private market regs, all will be revamped to favor the big players.

Sure, but thats not what we are talking about. A bill granting amnesty and a guest worker program makes the "wall" about as useless as the runway behind you. It's exactly what I was talking about. The article was about democRATs revisiting the bill to build a wall. I commented that this will be a losing issue for the RATs because of public support for the wall. I never brought up amnesty nor was it in the article, you're the one who changed the subject.

IIRC, one of the times Bush tried to pass the shamesty, the Dims stopped him. LOL! It was the House Republicans who stopped him.
Well anyway, one good thing about this election is that DUmmies like you are coming out of the closet.

Glad you could take a break from Democrat celebrations to gloat on a conservative forum that your hated wall won't be built and your beloved invasion will continue.

They don't want the fence because MORE ILLEGALS MEANS MORE DEMOCRATIC VOTERS IN 2008. Pure and simple.

You people are funny saying the RATs are going to dismantle this. Didn't you ever read Sen. John Cornyn's comments about how the fence bill was "just a gesture" and would "never be funded"? There are many many traitors on our side of the aisle.

Uh I ain't the one gloating over a nancy pelosi victory, it's your hero, louie dobbs, and his misguided minions on FR, such as you Roger.

Uh I guess you are illiterate, since it is the dems who are going to defund the fence.

AMEN! Why do the Republicans think we want to see a "new tone" of "bipartisanship" in Govt.? We don't! We want to see them do what we SENT THEM THERE TO DO! Defend our rights, protect our country, uphold the constitution and look out for CONSERVATIVE interests. If they do that and say
"screw the media, they're going to paint us as demons anyway", the actual CONSERVATIVES out here will be elated and motivated to vote for them. As it is, we have seen the "new tone" for 6 years and have managed to accomplish very little. Please notice...when WE took control of Congress we were almost apologetic about it. The Republicans were falling all over themselves to let the rats know they were going to "work together" and be "bipartisan." When the rats take control, they just push their agenda through, with no regard to bipartisanship.
SCREW THE NEW TONE. REPUBLICANS: GROW A SPINE.
