AL-QAEDA in Iraq yesterday claimed to be winning the war in Iraq and gloated over the resignation of US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
Amid mounting speculation that the American ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, would become the latest casualty following criticism over US policy in Iraq, al-Qaeda issued a statement clearly designed to take advantage of President George Bush's current plight.
Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri, said: "The American people have put their feet on the right path by ... realising their president's betrayal in supporting Israel. So they voted for something reasonable in the last elections," he said.
He called on Mr Bush to remain "steadfast in the battlefield" so al-Qaeda would have more opportunities to fight his soldiers. "They are getting ready to leave, because they are no longer capable of staying. Remain steadfast in the battlefield you coward."
The US yesterday announced the deaths of three soldiers and one Marine in Iraq, bringing the number of US troops killed this month to 24.

[It was pretty long odds to begin with...31 Million DemonRats against one 74-year old man...] Yeah but he was one mean 74 yr. old though lol. I think it's funny that al queerda thinks that the MSM berating a good man long enough that he retires is seen as a 'victory' for terrorism- Perhaps al qaeda forgets that 18,000 fired up warriors are STILL seeking to give them all air conditioned heads.

Please thank "Your Generals" they like you must be proud. No only relieved...you see in the military, you're accountable for what happens whether it was your fault or not--Just ask Army Gen. Walter Short or Navy Adm. Husband Kimmel (google). I suppose, though, I'm wasting my time trying to explain it you non-military GOP chickenhawk types will never understand...you squawk like warriors but its always someone else doing the fighting.

We're not defeated. We're shifting tactics, and we're going to show al-Queda they can't win. Well put.
