Did they have one? I thought they were in hiding like Christians in Rome and we were "the underground".

Sorry don't quite get the question.

Maybe you meant Pelosi was in Tora Bora but where was the Repubs?

Then I would say they were hiding from the scandals, hiding from lack of border security, hiding from their over-spending, hiding from their inability to declare the successes in the WOT, hiding from the MSM....

Where? Maybe at NORAD. XD

Or did you mean Mass as in Massachusettes?

Dunno, I'm from Pennsylvania. o_0

I just heard a caller to a radio talkshow, who identified himself as a Vietnam Vet, say that "America is suffering from Iraqtile Dysfunction".

Pretty funny, but very sad if true.

Bush is still President of the United States, and Jon Carry isn't.

You spelled Jon Carry wrong...It`s now officially "Cary". For example, "Teresa bought Jon Cary a brand new shiny bicycle helmet for being a good poodle boy."

"YIPPEE!! I`m the luckiest boy in the world!!! Yippee!"

Clear thought well-articulated as always, JH2. Thanks.

Indeed. Look at all the representative races where we didn't even field a candidate. The highest elected Republican is now what ... a dog catcher?

Thank you--You bring me some hope. I feel one important thing being overlooked from this election result---The Main Stream Media---won big. They flexed their mussels by unfair , very one-sided, partisan anti-Bush attacks for several months. It worked, especially while the Republicans played into their hands. The M.S.M. proved that they are much more powerful than right wing talk radio or my favorite Fox network. This fact must be factored into all future elections by all, especially the Republicans.

And it didn't help that Bush rolled over and played dead.

I think the correct question is, what happened to the Republican party en masse?

-- Bush still has the veto pen. That veto pen means the Nancy Pelosi/Charlie Rangel/Henry Waxman/Ted Kennedy/trial lawyer/ environutter/gun-grabbing/tax-hiking agenda has zero chance of becoming law.

All good points, except for the above. The President seems to be practically unable to use that pen, plus, there's always the constant danger of his wanting to get along with these far-left wackos. His willingness to enforce the classic conservative agenda is questionable.

JH2, the veto pen - is that the one with all of the ink in it?

I believe that the death of Saddam Hussein will dampen the violence of insurgent/terrorists in Iraq as many come to the realization that the former Dictator is never again going to be their leader.

It would have helped the Bush ADmin if Hussein could have been hanged two years ago.

Still, I guess its hard to just demand a court find someone guilty without hearing so many witnesses.

Bush still has two more years as President and Commander-in-Chief.
I hope he uses them well.

Bull! Bush will cave and sign everything they send to him because funding for Iraq will be tied to everything. Anyone here who thinks otherwise if a fool. Your taxes will be raised, our guns will be grabbed (and a few Wacos will occur to make the point), and the terrorist will win in the end. "Its over Jonny!". We won't see a conservative majority in this country again for 40 years if that.
