I agree with you 100%

We do have generals up to the task. We lack leaders up to the task.

It's with a great sense of irony that so many supporters of President Bush automatically tag everyone that disagrees with his war policies as liberal. I look at president Bush and see a liberal trying to make war humane. It is not possible. It confuses our population, subjects our military to undo casualties, extends the war, emboldens our enemies, is wasteful of our tax dollars and resources, and worse yet, does not, nor has it ever delivered a lasting peace.

My displeasure with Bush's war policy was really kindled when he pushed to restore full diplomatic ties with Pakistan. Pakistan is the hub of what President Bush termed the "Axis of Evil". He was so quick to undo what had occurred under the previous administration that he restored the ties when he should have gone the opposite direction and lived up to his promise to pursue our enemies wherever they are.

I was further displeased when he elevated war with Iraq over the killing and capture of those responsible for the 9-11 attacks. They are in Pakistan, still living, still hatching their deadly plots, and dispatching fighters to kill our troops. How much more liberal and dovish can one get than to allow our enemies safe quarter from which to inflict casualties upon our military? The only way Pelosi and the Democrats could make it more liberal would be by arming and supplying our enemies.

And I don't mind saying I'm totally opposed with both his embrace of Islam and increases of Muslim immigrants. Some eighty thousand alone we brought here from a Russian province, at our cost, and made immediate recipients of welfare.

What we need in the White House is a leader with the heart of a warrior. I don't care if he's wearing an R like Lincoln and McKinley, or a D like FDR. War has been proclaimed against us. The enemy is fighting us with every means available to them, and the enemy is Islam.

This is war. Let's get it on so we can get it over to live again in peace.

Yeah, I've always maintained that Bush tilted liberal. I find it hard to believe that Webb will turn Fonda on us...I really lost a lot of faith with the Rep party when Randy Cunnigham got busted. He was a rare Hero, one from my youth, reminds me of that Blacksox story , when they threw the game. "Say it aint so Joe". We can't just leave Iraq, forget Democracy, that land gives us bases to take out the Mullahs in Iran. We should of already driven into damacus 2 years ago. If we leave, we're going to have to retake it. No sense paying for the same land twice. and next time it'll be more expensive. No, I believe Iraq was a good idea , but they should have turned west and driven to the Mediteranean Sea. Taking Syria and Lebannon out of the Picture. People wouldn't be so quick to spout their antiAmerican tripe if we were a tad more ruthless. We got to be the "strong horse". Push on , Drive on, Thrust deep!

This is a thought that continues to occur to me like a flash of insight or a vision.

If you look at what's happening between israel and the arabs in gaza and the west bank and in lebanon... it's a perfect allegory for the strategy that the arabs are using against america and the west in general.

The arabs launch rockets into israel and then they complain about victimization when israel retaliates. Then the UN restrains them.

The arabs launch suicide attacks into america and then they complain about victimization and occupation when america retaliates. Then the democrats who at first supported the war turn their backs on the troops.

It's a tough fight even when you are evenly matched. But when Americans are forced by the democrats to enter the conflict on a limited basis, it's like being forced to enter a conflict with a pen knife where the enemy has a machine gun. You can not win.

During the 70's immediately after the vietnam conflict was lost. The communist sycophants who were marching in the streets funded by general giap and the soviets were left in the streets and given full citizenship by the carter admin and the church commission. These individuals became SENATORS and WEALTHY BUSINESSMEN. Now they have taken over the Congress and soon enough, the presidency.

We will say the same thing in 30 years. In the 00's immediately after the iraq conflict. The individuals who betrayed their country by leaking classified programs, the ones who carried the water for the islamic threat. They will be granted full citizenship and will again become the SENATORS and Wealthy Businessmen.

So today we are planting the seeds for the Islamic Caliphate as Carter planted the seeds of Socialism.

The liberals are right. We can NEVER WIN in iraq so long as we are fighting with a pen knife. And america will not exist as an independent nation any longer. From this point forward america will never enter into a conflict without the express approval of Russia and China. (because they are the veto members of the UN) But the chinese and the russians will continue to wage a proxy war against america and her interests. And I guarantee you that the Russian and Chinese programs will not be broadcast from the towers of ABC or on the front page of the NY Times.

So the vietnam strategy works against america. Again and Again. And when you get into a conflict with america all you have to do is go to the media and they will carry your propoganda. And the media will simply demoralize the population and the rest is a cascade. The enemies of america are already lining up to take advantage of this weakness. In South America the guerillas are already sending open messages to the powerful american Hollywood celebrities asking them to advocate for prisoner exchanges.

Now you can spin this any way you like but in the long run, and in the cold war we have been defeated. So here we are at the bottom of Churchills admonition. We live as slaves to the UN.
