The more time she spends on the presidential campaign trail, the more votes she'll miss in the Senate. Harry Reid is going to have to arrange the Senate calendar and his whole schedule around Hillary - or the Democrats will lose every vote.

They polled 840 adults. Not likely or registered voters. Snort. You get what you poll for.

I find that I become more and more ashamed everyday that I am originally from NYC. Everytime I start to think about moving back there one day I see an article like this and remember why I wanted to get away from that den of lunatics in the first place.

Yeah, they were also probably polling the same ignorant folks that Flipper talks to during Hannity's "Man on the Street" segments.

I just checked.
In 2000, Hillie received 3,438,999 votes.
In 2006, Hillie got 2,811,981.
Gee, looks like the shine's wearing off the apple to me...

After all the death and suffering on 9/11, New Yorkers should be appalled that Hillary is soft on terrorism. After all, the same people responsible for 9/11 are waging war in Iraq and killing thousands of innocent Iraqis. Oh that's right...there's no link between Saddam and Al Qaeda. It's an illegitimate war. Ridiculous!

She got 600,000 fewer votes this time around.
Looks like the state's growing a brain to me :)

That's right, NY -- reelect her then out source her.

The tragic irony in this is astounding. In four years she will be hated more than anyone by New Yorkers.
That is until Dem spin convinces them it wasn't their fault.

I like your turn of phrase that describes Liberals - 'den of lunatics'.
Reminds me of another one I admire - 'conspiracy of gangsters'.
Happy birthday to all Marines!

It's not a surprise. New York liberals love celebrities, and if hillary runs for president she will be THEIR celebrity. They could care less whether she actually does her job.

Way to go, New York. You gave the Arkansas carpetbagger another chance.

She got 600,000 fewer votes this time around. You're grasping. Turnout is always higher in a presidential year than a midterm, and 2000 had a higher turnout than most.

For the love of money... why do these fools think that NY is the whole U.S.A.?
Guess they don't get out much.

The results aren't really surprising. I can't think of an instance where a Senator was punished by his constituents for seeking higher office and losing (if they won, on the other hand, they'd obviously resign).
It didn't hurt Dole in 1976, Bentsen in 1988, Lieberman in 2000, or Kerry in 2004. I'm sure there are numerous other instances from longer ago that aren't occurring to me just now.

As a New Yorker myself, let me tell you about the dolts in this state. You see them cuing up like sheep in the morning for the overpriced and over brewed Starbucks while chatting away on their obligatory cellphones.. talking utter nonsense to the moron on the other end of the line. If you were to ask them who the Secretary of State was, they wouldn't have the slightest clue... but ask them who won American Idol and you'd be in for a complete dissertation
God Bless Boobus Americanus... God Bless America!

Gee, we had what...three whole days after the election before the poll machine starts cranking up again? Where do I sign up? Talk about job security...
These people make me sick.
